Today I want to tell you about a place where I recently had a really satisfying and hearty meal. Lately I've been craving a proper, well-set table that's still easy on the stomach. This spot is one that locals themselves rave about — Yun Sikdang, a Masan set-meal restaurant whose clean, tidy exterior catches your eye right away.

The neat sign at the entrance paired with the warm, welcoming atmosphere made me think right away it'd be perfect for a family meal out or a gathering spot. During lunch hours, parking is apparently available on the road in front of the restaurant.

Stepping inside Yun Sikdang, the interior is just as cozy and pleasant as the exterior suggests. Warm wood-tone decor and neatly kept tables add to the charm of a tidy Korean restaurant. The space overall is spacious with generous gaps between seats, so even these days you can enjoy a comfortable, intimate meal.

What especially caught my eye was how spotless the tables were — hygiene management here is thorough, and it made a great first impression. It also seemed like a great spot for private gatherings or group dinners. The lighting wasn't too bright or too dim either, keeping things cozy throughout the meal — exactly what you'd expect from a proper Masan set-meal restaurant.

During peak hours you'll usually need to write your name on a waitlist, so I'd recommend either arriving a bit early or making a reservation.

Now for the most important part — the menu! Yun Sikdang only has one menu item, so there's nothing to agonize over. We ordered the signature grilled bulgogi set meal. Not long after ordering, the table filled up so completely it looked like it might buckle under the weight — my jaw genuinely dropped. From seasoned namul (seasoned vegetables) to steamed egg, kimchi pancake, and parboiled squid salad, each side dish is neatly plated with real homemade flavor. Standing out most were the chewy, savory-salty braised abalone — a real rice thief — and the grilled fish, golden-brown and full of nutty flavor. The main dish, grilled bulgogi, carries a subtle smoky char that bursts with umami the more you chew — a flavor that's sure to please anyone, young or old.

## Two kinds of grilled fish for a table of three

What's this extra dish in the photo below? We didn't order it separately — it's grilled fish, included as part of the standard banchan. Since we came as a party of three, we got two different kinds of fish. It seems like normally one whole fish is served per two people. Grilled so crisp it's almost closer to fried than grilled, even my mom, who hasn't had much appetite lately, ate it right up.
