After checking out of Chestertons Sokcho, we had a hearty lunch of our kid's favorite grilled pollack and grilled deodeok root. It felt like too soon to head straight home, so we stopped by Cafe Neorae, a Sokcho café known for its sweeping view of Ulsanbawi Rock on Seoraksan.

## A 1st-floor restaurant discount and easy parking

Cafe Neorae sits in the Haksapyeong Kongkkot Village sundubu (tofu stew) cluster. A large Yetgoeul Sundubu restaurant occupies the ground floor, while the café takes up floors 2 through 4.

Parking is at the dedicated lot on the 1st floor, and it's quite spacious. Even if it fills up with weekend crowds, there's a separate second lot right nearby, so parking was never a worry.

And if you eat at Yetgoeul Sundubu downstairs and bring the receipt up, you get 10% off your total drink order. You can knock out lunch and dessert coffee in one spot and get a discount too — worth keeping in mind.

### Is it okay to bring kids or parents along?

💡 Tip for visiting with kids and parents — the building has an elevator installed, so it's convenient for strollers or older parents. Baby chairs are also neatly available, so families with kids can use the space comfortably.

## A panoramic Ulsanbawi Rock view filling the windows

The moment we stepped off the elevator into the 2nd-floor shop, I got the impression that the space was really wide and open. Warm red brick and wood-tone interior mixed with rattan chairs made the whole atmosphere cozy and pleasant.

![View toward Seoraksan from a window seat](https://img.superchart.com/images/sokcho-cafe-naerae-ulsanbawi-view-window-seat/sokcho-cafe-naerae-ulsanbawi-view-window-seat-10-13yh7-900.webp)

The view from the window seat was truly spectacular. Through the floor-to-ceiling glass, the towering peak of Ulsanbawi Rock on Seoraksan came into view exactly as it stood, and it felt like all the stuffiness in my chest just cleared out.

The weather was so clear and bright on the day we visited that the shape of Ulsanbawi Rock stood out sharply beneath the fluffy clouds.

The view was good enough that I sat there staring blankly at the scenery for a long while. The seats were also spaced generously and comfortably, making it a great large-scale Sokcho café for relaxing.

## Tteo-a-da supheoneo, chestnut latte, and the 2nd-floor photo zone

For this visit, we ordered the signature tteo-a-da supheoneo (Vietnamese-style condensed milk coffee), a chestnut latte ('bam bam latte'), and a clean iced americano.

Since it was Sunday afternoon, the 2nd floor was quiet and nice for resting, while the 3rd floor had a few couples and families. (For reference, maybe because of the heat, the 4th floor rooftop was temporarily closed at the time of our visit.)

![2nd-floor photo zone with bamboo styling](https://img.superchart.com/images/sokcho-cafe-naerae-ulsanbawi-view-window-seat/sokcho-cafe-naerae-ulsanbawi-view-window-seat-16-g3ep0-900.webp)

While waiting for the drinks, the 2nd-floor photo zone with its stone stepping stones, lush bamboo styling, and soft mood lighting was perfect for capturing atmospheric photos!

And the staircase up to the 3rd floor had a skylight, so you could see the sky beautifully.

The drinks were also very satisfying. The tteo-a-da supheoneo had that rich, sweet flavor unique to Vietnamese condensed milk coffee topped with soft cream, giving it deep coffee flavor. The chestnut latte had a nutty, sweet chestnut taste that even our kid loved. The americano was clean without too much acidity, exactly my style.

## Why I recommend it as a final stop on a trip

Because of its location near the road out to Sokcho IC, Cafe Neorae makes a very natural last stop right before heading home after a Sokcho trip.

![Interior of Cafe Neorae as a final stop on the trip](https://img.superchart.com/images/sokcho-cafe-naerae-ulsanbawi-view-window-seat/sokcho-cafe-naerae-ulsanbawi-view-window-seat-22-yxy9w-900.webp)

Among the cafés around Seoraksan, this one stood out for combining an open view of Ulsanbawi Rock, a spacious and comfortable interior, and convenient parking all in one place. If you want a cool view and comfortable rest on your Sokcho trip, I highly recommend stopping by at least once.
