This time I visited Charom Makeup, on Dangsan-ro 54-gil in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. It was my birthday and I had photos to take, so I really wanted to get my makeup done properly. I found it while searching for a good makeup place around Yeongdeungpo, and after actually getting it done, I understood why so many people looking for Yeongdeungpo makeup end up at Charom. Instead of piling everything on thick in one go, the director at Charom Makeup & Hair carefully checked my skin condition from the very start and built up the coverage in careful layers, stage by stage!!! She's really devoted to skin expression, and you could tell how much effort went into building it up. Seeing the result, I understood exactly why she was so meticulous. My skin didn't feel heavy or cakey at all, but the tone was evened out overall, and blemishes and redness were smoothed out naturally. Even up close after the makeup was done, it didn't look artificially white — it was tailored to my own skin, which I loved!! Honestly, looking good right when the makeup is finished matters, but how it holds up over time matters just as much. The weather was nice and it was quiet, which I loved :) If you're getting hair and makeup at Charom and have some time to spare, the Han River is a great option too. Lash hold at Charom Even after walking the park for a long time and getting sweaty and flushed, the makeup from Charom Makeup & Hair stayed perfect. The hair was set well too, holding firm even in the wind. One thing I personally loved was the lashes. Their staying power was seriously impressive. I even rubbed my eyes without thinking at some point, and the lashes survived. (Over 20 years of experience, apparently!!) Her range is incredible — daily hair and makeup, exam prep, mother-of-the-bride, wedding, all of it.
