The staff were especially kind and walked me through exactly how to eat it, step by step. It felt like a slightly lighter version of mala tang!! Of the sauces on the side, the peanut sauce was delicious because it balanced out the spiciness of the mala broth. The mala shabu doesn't come with rice on the side — it comes with noodles instead. But I'm a rice person.. whenever I eat something, I have to finish with rice, so I added porridge as an extra order!
