I recently went on a trip to Forest Resom in Jecheon, and since it was our first trip with our 3-month-old, I was pretty worried. Honestly, we'd never even eaten out with the baby before, so we had to eat inside the resort no matter what — and I found a genuinely delicious Korean restaurant that turned out to be really easy to visit with a baby!

## Where is Deulbabae Forest Resom Branch, and when is it open?

Deulbabae Forest Resom Branch is on the 3rd floor of Forest Club at Forest Resom, 365 Geumbong-ro, Baekun-myeon, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea. It's open daily 11:00–21:00, with a break time of 15:00–17:00 (except weekends and holidays). Parking is available, and there are baby chairs, group seating, and private rooms too.

Deulbabae is on the 3rd floor of Forest Club! I checked in and headed there with the baby right around lunchtime.

Since it's an in-resort restaurant, I didn't expect much, but it turns out it's run by a certified Korean cuisine master. Maybe that's why every dish felt so neat and thoughtfully prepared! The food came out clean and parking was convenient, so it seemed like local residents were coming in for gatherings too, not just hotel guests.

## Inside Deulbabae: enough room to park a stroller beside the table

The inside of Deulbabae had seating spaced out like this! What I loved most was that the gaps between tables were wide enough to comfortably keep the stroller right beside us while we ate. No wonder there were so many families with babies👍🏻

There were quite a few private rooms too! It looked like local residents, not just resort guests, sometimes come here for family occasions.

When you walk in, they seat you starting from the window-side tables — this place is famous for its forest view, and with floor-to-ceiling windows all around, we ate our meal feeling totally at peace.

## Deulbabae's self-serve banchan zone, with free refills and a microwave

There's a self-serve zone right in the middle of Deulbabae. You know how Korean set meal restaurants always have tons of side dish varieties but tiny portions? Here you can help yourself to as many extra side dishes as you want!

There's dessert and a coffee machine too, so I figured both kids and adults would love it.

There's even a microwave, so it seems like a great place to visit with a baby who still needs baby food warmed up! There's a reason so many families come here.

There are clean single-tray meal options like pork bulgogi or dried yellow corvina sets, as well as shareable set menus. I ordered the Healthy Table A set!

It comes with cheonggukjang, braised kodari pollock, and side dishes, plus two stone-pot rice bowls, dried yellow corvina, pork bulgogi, and kimchi pancake. This is for two people?! The portions were seriously huge🤍

The side dishes were really varied — the japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) was tasty and the bracken fern was pretty good too!

Steaming hot stone-pot rice...🩷 With a baby, it's rare to get to eat freshly cooked warm rice, so it had been a while since I enjoyed a meal this much! Poured in some water, closed the lid, and dug in happily.

### The stir-fried pork arrived a little cold

The pork bulgogi in Deulbabae's Healthy Table A had cooled down a bit, which was a shame, but the seasoning was spot on, so I kept coming back to it until the very end!

Honestly I'm not usually a fan of braised kodari pollock, but it was so moist and the sauce paired so well that I nearly finished the whole thing.

### Dried yellow corvina and cheonggukjang at Deulbabae

The dried yellow corvina came pre-deboned and ready to eat! They even brought green tea, so I enjoyed it nice and refreshing. I really love ochazuke (tea-poured rice), so this was pure happiness,,🍵

And the cheonggukjang was more delicious than I expected too! My husband and I already enjoy cheonggukjang regularly, but this tasted like a beginner-friendly version even people who dislike it could eat without hesitation👍🏻

Scraped up every bit of the crispy stone-pot rice crust to finish things off! The portions were so huge I thought there was no way the two of us could finish it, but it was so good it just kept going in. I was nervous about this first outing with the baby, but the staff kept checking in on her as they passed by, which I really appreciated — it made the whole meal feel relaxed and easy!
