Traveling with a kid always means deep thought about what to eat, so while planning a Jecheon trip and searching for good restaurants near Resom Forest, I found Deojinji, Resom Baegun Branch.

When you travel, where to eat matters almost as much as where to sightsee. Traveling with a child especially means checking not just the taste but whether parking is easy, whether the place is spacious, and whether it's comfortable to eat with a baby. Deojinji, a good restaurant near Resom Forest in Jecheon, had a comfortable atmosphere for visiting with a child. Best of all, the meat comes already grilled, which is so convenient when you're with a kid.

Deojinji Sutbul Galbi, Resom Baegun Branch sits right on the main road, so it wasn't hard to find, and there was plenty of parking space out front. When parking is uncertain at a restaurant you're visiting with a kid, moving around gets surprisingly tricky, so I liked that this place had space for it.

I think this is especially good to add to your itinerary if you're planning a trip to Resom Forest — it's just a short drive from the resort. It's also fine to head here for dinner after resting at your accommodation, or to stop by anytime during your Jecheon trip when you're craving meat.

## Inside Deojinji: interior and seating

The interior of Deojinji, Resom Baegun Branch was clean overall, and the tables weren't cramped together. There were seats by the floor-to-ceiling windows with a view outside, and sofa-style seating further inside. Overall, the atmosphere felt comfortable enough for families to visit without worry.

For families eating with a baby like us, the spacious tables and roomy layout were a real plus. When dining out with a baby, a place with a bit of breathing room is so much more comfortable than a cramped, busy restaurant.

## What's in the 2-person Set A at Deojinji?

This time at Deojinji, a good restaurant near Resom Forest in Jecheon, we ordered the 2-person Set A. According to the menu, Set A is LA-style charcoal beef galbi (1 serving) + Damyang-style charcoal pork galbi (1 serving) + tteokgalbi.

Rather than eating just one kind of meat, you get to try both beef and pork, plus tteokgalbi on top, so I thought it was a great combo for anyone wanting to sample a bit of everything. My child is a picky eater so I'm always worrying about what she'll like, and it was nice being able to offer her a variety of things to try.

## Basic side dishes and the soy-marinated crab

Every one of the basic side dishes at Deojinji, Resom Baegun Branch was tasty. I prefer lightly seasoned food, and everything suited my taste well. The soy-marinated crab in particular was a real treat!!

## How did the beef galbi, pork galbi, and tteokgalbi taste?

When a pile of charcoal-grilled meat arrived, it really felt like a proper meat meal. The meat on the grill was mouthwatering just to look at. I started with the beef galbi, and it had a subtle smoky charcoal aroma that I loved. The pork galbi offered a different kind of flavor to enjoy alongside it.

Personally, I think being able to eat both beef and pork galbi at once is the biggest perk of a set menu. My kid ate the tteokgalbi really well!! It was seasoned more mildly than tteokgalbi at other traditional Korean restaurants, so both adults and kids could enjoy it. Having tteokgalbi included made the whole spread feel quite substantial.

## What was it like eating at Deojinji with a baby?

When choosing a restaurant to visit with a child, food and seating are always what I focus on most. You just need to pick the mildly seasoned parts of the meat that a baby can eat, cut them into small pieces, and it worked fine mixed with rice too. Since my child is still young, I gave her small portions mostly from the milder-seasoned meat.

Since we had a baby with us, we paced the meal slowly, and since the restaurant atmosphere wasn't too hectic, we could eat comfortably. So I felt this is a restaurant worth considering for families traveling to Resom Resort in Jecheon with a baby.

## Finishing the meal with naengmyeon

We ordered extra rice too, and finished with naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles)!!!! The cold noodles were refreshing and delicious.

For anyone visiting Resom Forest on a Jecheon trip, deciding where to eat can be a puzzle — if you visit the resort often, the food inside gets predictable, so you end up looking for a good restaurant nearby before or after check-in. Charcoal galbi seems just right for that. When traveling with a child, our menu options often narrow, but here the adults could enjoy galbi while there was a kid-friendly option to pair with rice, which I appreciated.

Overall, I liked that Deojinji Sutbul Galbi, Resom Baegun Branch is easy to park at, the restaurant is clean, and you can enjoy a variety of meats. Especially if you're visiting as two people, choosing a set menu like the 2-person Set A that comes with several kinds together, rather than ordering separately, seems like a good idea. Being able to eat beef galbi, pork galbi, and tteokgalbi all at once also meant less agonizing over menu choices.
