The broth wasn't sharply spicy but mellow and warm, which was a nice way to wrap things up after eating so many dishes. At the end, plum tea came out too, rounding off the meal cleanly. Laid out like this, the whole table really was packed full, right? Being able to eat sashimi, steamed dishes, grilled meat and warm soup all in one sitting felt great for anyone who wants to enjoy a little bit of many things. Especially with the chatting that happens while grilling meat yourself and waiting for the hinoki steam, it would make a good date course too.
