There’s a nostalgic place I used to visit all the time from my early twenties, when friends and I would go for delicious chicken and cold beer! I had always gone just for the chicken, so I’d quietly wondered what the other snacks were like. This time, though, I was surprised to find the menu packed with dishes that pair perfectly with beer.

With a full lineup of snacks that go wonderfully with crisp draft beer, it’s great for a first round—or as a Balsan Station bar for a light second stop. 🍻✨

There was an outdoor patio as well as plenty of tables inside. The whole interior was decorated in Daily Beer’s signature style, so it was fun just looking around, too~.

## A Wide Selection of Snacks for a Second Stop

Since we came for a second stop this time, I took a closer look at some new, lighter dishes instead of the chicken I usually order.

Opening the menu, I found not only chicken but also fries, sausage, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), salads, nachos, cheese sticks, sherbet, and so many other snacks that work brilliantly for both a first and second round. It’s a great place to fill up with a hearty meal on your first stop, but it also has lots of dishes like the ones I chose—perfect for casually nibbling with a cold beer on a second stop. It really felt like a Balsan Station bar that would be satisfying whenever you visit.

As it happened, I was chatting with the person I was with about a trip to Japan, and one very special set menu immediately caught my eye. Naturally, we ordered it without hesitation!

## Matsuda Manager Osaka Set and Crunchy Cheese Balls

The menu we picked that day was the Matsuda Manager Osaka Set: a satisfying combination of takoyaki (octopus balls) and two draft beers! At ₩24,000, it felt reasonably priced and just right for enjoying something light.

Once we’d ordered, a staff member brought everything out nicely arranged and easy to eat. The takoyaki, which I hadn’t had in ages, was seriously so delicious.

It came not only with a generous sprinkle of katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes), but also a fresh vegetable salad, making it ideal for picking at without feeling too full on a second stop.

After eating away happily for a while, I wasn’t hungry exactly, but felt like my mouth wanted a little something more—so I added Crunchy Cheese Balls as a side (₩6,500 for five pieces).

I expected ordinary cheese balls, but they were dusted with a house seasoning that was spicy, sweet, and savory all at once. I couldn’t help but exclaim the moment I took a bite. Since this is a place that specializes in beer, I could really tell that the side dishes were made to bring out the flavor of the beer, too.

## Final Thoughts on a Second Stop Beyond Chicken

It had been a while since my last visit, so I tried a new set and side instead of my usual chicken. There were so many dishes suited to a second stop that I came away having had such a lovely weekend. Delicious takoyaki, addictive cheese balls, and cold beer are an unbeatable combination—reliable happiness every time.

If you’re looking for a light drink on the way home from work or somewhere for a second stop, I definitely recommend dropping by at least once. Now that the weather has warmed up, lots of people were enjoying the outdoor patio, too!! 💛✨
