Today's post is about the Thai spot that recently became our couple's absolute favorite in Sangam — Drunken Thai! We love Thai food so much that we're always hunting down good pad thai, pho, and curry places. Every single dish we tried here at Drunken Thai Sangam was so good we kept saying 'let's come back here!' Everything from the pho to the pad see ew to the green curry was delicious, so I wanted to introduce this place to anyone looking for pho in Sangam or just loves Thai food :)

## How long is the lunchtime wait?

Drunken Thai isn't a huge restaurant, so waits tend to build up at lunchtime. Sangam has a lot of office workers, and weekday lunch hours get busy! But everyone keeps coming back because it's genuinely that good!!! Once I tried it myself, I totally understood why people wait for it :) Luckily, table turnover was faster than expected, so even with a wait, it wasn't a long one.

The interior has about 5 tables — a small, cozy space. It's not big, but it was kept clean, and customers kept streaming in the whole time we were there.

## Tasting three dishes: pad kaprao moo sap, pad see ew and green curry

We ordered pad kaprao moo sap, pad see ew, and green curry. Cutting to the chase — all three were amazing! Insanely good.

We eat Thai food constantly, and out of everywhere we've been recently, this became our couple's favorite Thai spot in Sangam!

### Pad see ew, 14,500 won: better than pad thai?

Like pad thai, it's a stir-fried noodle dish, but the noodles here are much wider and thicker, so the sauce really soaks in — honestly I liked it even more than pad thai. If you like chewy, wide noodles, pad see ew is a must.

The pad thai here is genuinely sweet and savory — I had a number-one favorite pad thai place back when I was in Thailand and Indonesia, and I never found anything close to it in Seoul. But honestly, this pad see ew wins out over that pad thai for me,,

Pad kaprao moo sap is spicy stir-fried pork served with rice and a fried egg. On our last Thailand trip, my partner got completely obsessed with pad kaprao moo sap and we kept seeking it out — it genuinely became our favorite dish there,,

Sweet, salty, slightly spicy pork, pop the yolk and mix it into the rice — you just can't stop eating it!!!

I got hooked on this dish too for a while, and honestly it's surprisingly hard to find a place that nails it — you have to try this one,, it's so good. We added extra cilantro!

So many Drunken Thai Sangam reviews mention the green curry that I got really curious about it. I usually stick to the dishes I already love, so this was one I'd never actually tried before — but the reviews were so good I finally ordered it this time.

The first bite hits you with that distinct spice aroma, but it gets weirdly addictive the more you eat. Smooth, nutty coconut flavor blended with those signature Thai spices — a taste that lingers even after you're done.

## Why we would go back to Drunken Thai Sangam Branch

We were satisfied with all three dishes across the board, so next time we want to come back and try the beef pho and pad thai too. Two people demolishing three dishes!!! We were laughing at ourselves for finishing everything down to the last bite without leaving a scrap. For a couple who loves Thai food as much as we do, this ranks among the best places we've visited recently :)

If you're looking for a lunch spot for office workers in Sangam, or want rich-broth pho in Sangam, or proper Thai food in Sangam, I recommend Drunken Thai Sangam Branch! :) Even with a wait, we'd go back again — that's how satisfied we left this Sangam lunch spot.
