## In short

Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch is a bossam and kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant a 4-minute walk from Dangsan Station Exit 13 in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. On a late weekend lunch, three people ordered the large ohgyeop bossam (five-layer boiled pork belly) for 50,000 won, picked dongjuk kalguksu (clam noodle soup) as the free side, and got a tuna mayo rice ball through the Naver receipt review event. The pork belly, boiled fresh every morning, was tender with no gamy smell, and the four-top window seats suit both family meals and larger groups.

I went to Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch near Dangsan Station for a late weekend lunch.

The place had a clean, bright vibe, and the ohgyeop bossam (boiled pork belly wrap) was chewy yet tender — the dongjuk kalguksu (clam knife-cut noodle soup) that came with it was spicy but light, and paired really well.

Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch is a well-known bossam and kalguksu spot near Dangsan Station.

It's easily accessible, just a 4-minute walk from Dangsan Station Exit 13.

## Inside Cheongun Bossam: floor-to-ceiling windows and a folding door

When we arrived around 2pm for a late weekend lunch, plenty of people were still eating.

By the time we left, though, things had quieted down.

With windows covering two whole walls, the space felt bright and open — really pleasant.

The window sofa seats also looked comfortable.

The right side had a folding door, so with it open it probably feels like outdoor seating.

The seating is arranged with four-top tables and two four-tops pushed together, which works well for solo diners as well as family meals or group gatherings.

You order via tablet and pay at the counter on your way out.

In front of the counter, jars of various herbal ingredients were on display, which caught my eye, and next to them was a clear sign about ingredient origins.

Every table has a tablet for easy ordering, and there was a review event — a rice ball gift for a Naver receipt review — which I took part in.

## Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch menu and lunch specials

![Large menu board hanging on the wall at Cheongun Bossam](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongun-bossam-dangsan-large-bossam-lunch/cheongun-bossam-dangsan-large-bossam-lunch-09-1ilu4-966.webp)

There was a big, easy-to-read menu board on the wall.

It also listed the health benefits of bossam.

✔️ For bossam, there's ohgyeop bossam and jjukkumi (spicy baby octopus) ohgyeop bossam, and the ohgyeop bossam can be upgraded to gabrisal bossam (+₩6,000) via tablet order.

With any bossam order, you can choose either dongjuk kalguksu or jaengban makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles on a tray) as a complimentary side.

Choosing the spicy noodles adds ₩5,000.

✔️ For sides, there's squid seafood pancake, which pairs well, and standalone menu items include dongjuk kalguksu, spicy kalguksu (with baby octopus, gopchang, or bossam toppings), jaengban makguksu, stir-fried baby octopus, and moechong (surf clam) soup.

They also serve alcohol, so it's a good spot for dinner with a drink on the side.

✔️ The lunch specials — ohgyeop bossam set and jjukkumi set — are reasonably priced with solid portions, making them good options for solo diners or office workers near Dangsan Station.

The three of us ordered the large ohgyeop bossam via tablet.

For the complimentary side, we chose dongjuk kalguksu.

## Large ohgyeop bossam for 50,000 won: what comes on the table for three

![Table set with basic side dishes and complimentary dongjuk kalguksu](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongun-bossam-dangsan-large-bossam-lunch/cheongun-bossam-dangsan-large-bossam-lunch-12-160w7-966.webp)

The basic side dishes came out first, followed shortly by the complimentary dongjuk kalguksu that's included with the bossam.

Bean sprout salad, kimchi, pickled onions, and stir-fried fish cake were all clean and easy to eat alongside the meal.

![Pot of dongjuk kalguksu starting to boil](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongun-bossam-dangsan-large-bossam-lunch/cheongun-bossam-dangsan-large-bossam-lunch-14-7ke2y-966.webp)

Just as the dongjuk kalguksu started boiling, the large ohgyeop bossam arrived.

It came with lettuce, garlic, ssamjang (dipping sauce), and salted shrimp on the side.

The ohgyeop bossam arrived generously piled on one plate, together with pickled napa cabbage, radish kimchi, and spicy ssamjang.

The soft-looking layers of pork belly fat immediately caught my eye haha 😆

Boiled fresh every morning, it was tender and moist with no gamy smell at all — really delicious.

It was fun mixing up different combinations — pickled cabbage or lettuce with salted shrimp, radish kimchi, garlic, and chili peppers for the wraps.

They apparently make fresh kimchi every day — the radish kimchi had a nice crunchy texture with tasty seasoning, and it paired perfectly with the bossam.

### Dongjuk kalguksu, the free clam noodle soup we chose

![Dongjuk kalguksu with clams and vegetables](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongun-bossam-dangsan-large-bossam-lunch/cheongun-bossam-dangsan-large-bossam-lunch-21-1lv93-966.webp)

This dongjuk kalguksu was great alongside the bossam.

With fresh dongjuk (surf clams) and vegetables like zucchini, napa cabbage, crown daisy, and chili peppers, it was light yet spicy — really tasty.

The noodles were nice and chewy too.

### Tuna mayo rice ball from the Naver receipt review event

![Ingredients for the tuna mayo rice ball from the review event](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongun-bossam-dangsan-large-bossam-lunch/cheongun-bossam-dangsan-large-bossam-lunch-22-he0hg-966.webp)

This is the tuna mayo rice ball we got for the review event.

It came with disposable plastic gloves, so we put them on and rolled the rice into little balls ourselves.

The tuna mayo rice ball was tasty on its own.

It was a hearty addition alongside the bossam, though the portion was bigger than expected and we had a bit left over.

## Who is Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch best for?

That's my honest review of Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch, where I had a satisfying late lunch haha 😁

The atmosphere was clean and pleasant, the bossam was tender and free of any gamy smell, and with the variety of included sides like dongjuk kalguksu or jaengban makguksu, it's a good spot for family meals or group gatherings too.

The lunch specials also come with solid portions, making it a good option for solo diners or nearby office workers on their lunch break.
