I'd wanted to visit Smith's Farm for ages since it's famous for its octopus steak and gnocchi. I ended up loving it even more than expected, so I really want to recommend it as a Western food spot in Haeundae ꒰ ⸝⸝ɞ̴̶̷ ·̮ ɞ̴̶̷⸝⸝꒱ 🍽️

Smith's Farm is a 5-minute walk from Dongbaek Station, so it's very easy to get to. If you're driving, just use the restaurant's own lot — enter from either side of the building where the exit-caution signs are, and parking is free.

The tables are spaced generously and there's a good variety of them, so it looked great for couples, friends, or group gatherings alike.

There are also curved sofa seats that are comfortable for chatting. The cute carrot on top is a nice touch •••🥕👩🏻‍🌾

You can also order just drinks, so it works well as a brunch café too, and with the spacious large-party and group tables, it seems perfect for gatherings like alumni meetups.

I originally only planned to have pasta and gnocchi, but there was such a variety of Western dishes — salads, steaks, pasta, gnocchi, pilaf — that I got torn. In the end I added the romaine salad too because it looked delicious.

Grilled romaine 🥬 This salad has chili oil, bacon chips, and a special mayo sauce plus green sauce drizzled over romaine. The bacon chips gave a nice salty bite here and there. The chili oil especially gave it a spicy kick that hit at just the right moment.

They gave us Smith's cabbage on the house, and the nutty, thick special sauce paired really well with the cabbage. Both were delicious, so I think you could order whichever suits your taste!

Rock octopus steak 🐙 This was the dish I was most looking forward to, since I have great memories of eating pulpo steak on a trip to Spain. The plate has a carrot purée base topped with octopus legs and various grilled garnishes. Underneath are wasabi, cheongyang chili mayo, and chipotle sauces.

The octopus was so tender and delicious ㅠㅠㅠ Zero chewiness at all 🥺 It was great even with just the wasabi, and the octopus itself was so good it was simply top-tier. If you go to Smith's Farm, you absolutely have to try the octopus steak.ᐟ.ᐟ

Pumpkin sweet potato gnocchi 🍠 This is a sweet potato gnocchi dish in a pumpkin cream sauce, piled high with dried enoki mushrooms and arugula.

They said the sweet potato gnocchi is handmade, and it was so chewy and delicious ㆅ

The combination of the chewy gnocchi and the crispy texture of the dried enoki mushrooms was so good I scraped the plate clean.

The owner even gave us banana brûlée on the house, and I left completely satisfied — not just with the food, but with the thoughtfulness of taking care of even the final dessert. This is truly a hidden gem for Western food in Haeundae. If you're looking for a Western restaurant with great atmosphere in Haeundae, I recommend Smith's Farm 🧑🏻‍🌾🌾
