## In short

Sinseon Myeonga is a Korean restaurant between Yeonsan Station and Busan National University of Education Station in Yeonje, Busan. I had handmade noodle soup, bulgogi bibimbap, and a small bossam portion; the soft noodles, generous vegetables, and thick, mild pork stood out.

I visited Sinseon Myeonga (신선면가), where you can have kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup), rice, and bossam together in Yeonsan-dong. I went in the early evening and ordered handmade noodle soup, bulgogi bibimbap, and a small bossam portion.

## Where is Sinseon Myeonga, and how does parking work?

The restaurant is at 1F, Unit 103, 26 Jungang-daero 1150beon-gil, Yeonje-gu, Busan. It is between Yeonsan Station and Busan National University of Education Station, and there were chairs outside for waiting.

There is dedicated parking behind the building. After arriving, I called the restaurant and the owner opened the barrier.

The hours listed in the original were daily from 9:30 AM to 10 PM. Break time was from 3 PM to 4 PM, with last orders at 9:30 PM.

## Is it comfortable for solo diners or families with children?

There were tables for two and four inside, so I thought it would be fine for dining alone. High chairs were also available. We arrived in the early evening, and even on a weekday, it became busier as dinner time got underway.

They said the bibimbap uses a blend of Suhyangmi and Icheon rice. Two types of rice sacks were displayed in the restaurant.

## What is available besides kalguksu?

Sinseon Myeonga specializes in kalguksu made with noodles prepared in-house. Along with fresh-noodle kalguksu, there were sujebi (hand-torn dough soup), bibimbap, and pork cutlet, giving me several meal options.

The bibimbap came in three varieties: tuna, bulgogi, and octopus. There were also bossam and buchujeon (chive pancake), which seemed suitable with dinner or a drink.

## How were the side dishes and fresh-noodle kalguksu?

Warm sample sundae (Korean blood sausage) came as a side dish. My companion enjoyed it too.

Macaroni and kimchi were served as well. The kimchi went well with the kalguksu.

The noodles were tender and easy to slurp. The anchovy broth also had a clean flavor.

I sometimes feel bloated after eating noodles, but I felt comfortable afterward that day.

## How were the vegetables and seasoning in the bulgogi bibimbap?

I chose the bulgogi bibimbap. The rice felt more like mixed-grain rice than plain white rice.

![Bulgogi bibimbap ordered at Sinseon Myeonga](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinseonmyeonga-yeonsan-kalguksu-bossam/sinseonmyeonga-yeonsan-kalguksu-bossam-19-1752v-900.webp)

It had plenty of vegetables, which I enjoyed. The owner said the gochujang (red chili paste) was made in-house; it was savory and paired well with the gently sweet bulgogi.

## How much came with the small bossam, and what came with it?

I ordered the small bossam portion, and it felt generous. The pork came in thick slices, which suited my taste.

The meat was moist, mild, and free of any off smell.

It tasted even better dipped in the garlic sauce that came with it.

Tofu and spicy dried shredded radish came alongside it. I also made wraps with lettuce, pork, and the accompaniments.

## What was available after the meal, and what event was running?

After the meal, I had sikhye (sweet rice drink) and yakgwa (honey cookie) prepared by the owner. The sikhye was kept in an ice-filled cooler, so I could drink it cold.

At the time of my visit, there was also a promotion offering six steamed dumplings for writing a Naver receipt review.

The clean kalguksu, vegetable-filled bibimbap, and mild bossam made for a satisfying meal together. With parking and high chairs available, I thought it would also be convenient for a family meal with children.
