No Gangneung trip is complete without healing time at an ocean-view café looking out over the blue sea. I headed to Baegya Coffee, a large bakery café with Sacheonjin Beach spread out right in front, just next to Gyeongpodae. It's genuinely huge — a three-story building plus a fourth-floor rooftop! So many cafés these days are gorgeously decorated, but it's these small conveniences that actually raise my satisfaction even more. The interior is clean, in white and wood tones, with a full window wall facing the ocean so you can take in the view, and there's also access out to the terrace.
