They said they season it with cheongyang chili powder only — no capsaicin, no MSG. A spicy flavor creeps up on you, there's a ton of chicken topping, and the broth itself just tastes like pure chicken ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ. Plus they add perilla seed powder so the broth turns rich and velvety... There were two of us, and we added the pork to our double-portion kalguksu — an absolutely excellent call. Especially since the soup was so spicy, I kept reaching for a dumpling to cool my mouth every time I got the hiccups ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ. The combo was just too good. I'm basically a professional eater at this point.
