## In short

Cafe Neorae is a bakery café on the 2nd floor of the Yetgoeul Sundubu building in the Haksapyeong tofu village in Sokcho, Gangwon, looking out at Ulsanbawi Rock. As the first stop of a Sokcho trip, the writer ordered two Neorae Lattes at 7,500 won each and a Jeju green tea Basque cake at 7,000 won, then settled into a panoramic 3rd-floor seat with a comfortable chair and plenty of power outlets. For the view, the desserts and the traveler-friendly seating together, Cafe Neorae is worth the stop.

Today's post is about a Sokcho Seoraksan café. Before checking into our accommodation, I was thinking about where to start our Sokcho trip, and decided a Sokcho trip has to begin with an Ulsanbawi-view café, so I went looking for a pretty one 🩵

When I arrived, it was such a peaceful, healing place that if you're looking for an Ulsanbawi-view café with great desserts, this is a must-visit. Let me introduce Cafe Neorae right away!

## Where is Cafe Neorae, and is there parking?

Cafe Neorae, the Ulsanbawi-view café, is located in the Haksapyeong Kongkkot Village sundubu (tofu) village. It's on the 2nd floor of the Yetgoeul Sundubu building! Free parking is available both in front and to the side :)

"Neorae" is a Gangwon-do dialect word meaning a wide, big rock. The 2nd and 3rd floors are the café, and there's also a rooftop on the 4th floor.

You could have Yetgoeul Sundubu for lunch and then visit Cafe Neorae afterward. Bring your receipt for a 10% discount at Cafe Neorae ✨

## Inside Cafe Neorae: seating and how many power outlets

Walking inside, a lush green view greets you 🌿 It felt almost like stepping into a botanical garden café.

Took a proof shot at Cafe Neorae's mirror photo zone, then

headed up to the 3rd floor, where you'll find even more spacious seating with a panoramic Ulsanbawi view.

I took this photo right after a group of customers left — doesn't the peacefulness come through even in the photo..💚

I saw dark clouds on the way to Sokcho and worried about the weather, but my worries were unfounded — it turned out gorgeous! Ulsanbawi looked absolutely stunning in the photos ˃ᴗ˂

![Ulsanbawi scenery seen through Cafe Neorae's window on a clear day](https://img.superchart.com/images/sokcho-cafe-naerae-jeju-green-tea-basque/sokcho-cafe-naerae-jeju-green-tea-basque-09-et4xk-966.webp)

![View of Ulsanbawi from a window seat at Cafe Neorae](https://img.superchart.com/images/sokcho-cafe-naerae-jeju-green-tea-basque/sokcho-cafe-naerae-jeju-green-tea-basque-10-12q15-966.webp)

Unlike the other Ulsanbawi-view cafés I've been to (..), the chairs were comfortable and the tables had good spacing, so I was in a great mood from the very start of our Sokcho trip 🤍

There were also baby chairs, which seemed like it would be nice and comfortable for families visiting.

But most important for travelers — the outlets...!!! I always carry a power bank of course, but with all the photos, videos, and map-checking, it drains fast 🥺 There were plenty of outlet spots, which I really appreciated.

## Cafe Neorae menu and prices

![Cafe Neorae's drink menu board](https://img.superchart.com/images/sokcho-cafe-naerae-jeju-green-tea-basque/sokcho-cafe-naerae-jeju-green-tea-basque-12-p3htw-966.webp)

Here's Cafe Neorae's menu board. One drink per person is required, and there were a lot of drink options. Seasonal drinks like the Chodang Corn Latte and Bamm-bamm Latte, plus London Fog and ades were also available.

![Cafe Neorae's dessert case with pastries covered in cases](https://img.superchart.com/images/sokcho-cafe-naerae-jeju-green-tea-basque/sokcho-cafe-naerae-jeju-green-tea-basque-13-1e1ge-966.webp)

For dessert, there was Basque cheesecake, Earl Grey lemon tart, chestnut Mont Blanc with honey sweet potato, croissants, potato bread, sweet potato bread — they all looked delicious~! One more thing that won me over about Cafe Neorae: all the pastries were covered with cases, which I loved 🥺🤍

We settled into an Ulsanbawi-view seat and properly kicked off the start of our Sokcho trip ✨

The signature Neorae Latte, made with a combination of soft cream and okara (soybean pulp), had a nutty, sweet flavor. It paired really well with the dense, rich Jeju green tea Basque cake 🩵

There's even a microwave — a Sokcho/Goseong café 🥐🍞 With the Ulsanbawi view and all, this feels like the perfect café for a dessert tour too!

![Cafe Neorae's relaxed-mood interior overview](https://img.superchart.com/images/sokcho-cafe-naerae-jeju-green-tea-basque/sokcho-cafe-naerae-jeju-green-tea-basque-21-1kzyq-966.webp)
