This time I went to Coffee Dripper in Chodang-dong, Gangneung. It's near Chodang Tofu Village, so it's an easy spot to pair with a meal — and the moment I walked in, the space was way prettier than I expected, which won me over right away. Gangneung has so many pretty cafés these days, but Coffee Dripper doesn't feel like a place styled just for photos — it feels like somewhere that takes both the coffee and the space seriously! Floor-to-ceiling windows, wood-tone interior, a huge palm tree, plus easy parking. Sunlight pours in through the huge windows, and the wood-tone tables and chairs mixed with plants scattered around give it a warm yet polished feel. And especially the giant palm tree right in the middle! It really lifts the whole atmosphere. Even though you're inside a café, it almost feels like you've landed at a resort haha. It was a nice-weather day, and the combination of blue sky + green plants + wood-tone building was gorgeous. Sitting by the window with a coffee, just staring outside, seemed like the perfect way to spend time here :) And sure enough, the window seats were the most crowded. A café with an ocean view is great on a Gangneung trip, but resting somewhere this green is also pretty nice. > Indoor and outdoor spaces flow naturally into each other Between one section of the café and the next, there's a big palm tree, and the space opens up almost like folding doors, so even indoors it feels close to being outside. The garden visible from inside was also nicely landscaped! Is that amount of red beans real...? The beans were piled generously enough to nearly cover the whole shaved ice, topped with a round rice cake! Shaved ice prices have gotten so high these days that sometimes you look at it and think 'this is the price for that?' lol, but here the visuals alone were pretty solid. > 🍦 And of course, soft serve for the kid Next to it, the soft serve! With a kid along, there was no skipping this one lol. The soft serve came out in a beautifully rounded swirl with a little topping on top — cute to look at, too. According to the menu, coffee soft serve is ₩7,000, milk soft serve is ₩7,000, and ordering it in a cone is ₩7,500 — everyone but us got theirs in a cone ^^ One patbingsu, one soft serve, and both the adult and the kid were happy haha.
