During my trip to Sokcho, I went to Jin Seiromushi (진 세이로무시) for marinated red snow crab and shrimp. I ate in a private room with my child, and we had a filling meal from the side dishes served with the set meals through to the final nurungji (crispy scorched rice).

## Where is it, and is parking available?

The address is 13 Seonsa-ro 2-gil, Sokcho-si, Gangwon State, South Korea. I was able to park in front of the restaurant, and the parking area was very large.

According to the original post, hours are Wednesday through Monday from 10:30 to 21:00, and it is regularly closed every Tuesday. Break time is listed as 15:00–17:00, with last orders at 14:00 and 20:00.

## Are there private rooms for dining with children?

The interior was more spacious than I expected. There were group tables as well as room-style tables separate from the main hall, so I thought it would suit a family meal or gathering.

We were shown to a room that had been prepared in advance. We could eat comfortably in a space separate from the main hall.

## What did we order, and what comes with the set meal?

The menu was divided into hinoki-steamed dishes, grilled dishes, and meals. Meal options included marinated red snow crab, marinated shrimp, and marinated abalone, served with various side dishes and pot-cooked rice. This time, we ordered the marinated red snow crab set meal, marinated shrimp set meal, and cider.

The side dishes included seasoned shishito peppers, braised semi-dried pollock, braised shiitake mushrooms, and seasoned seaweed stems. I especially kept reaching for the braised pollock because its seasoning was tasty.

There were seasoned chwinamul greens, bellflower root, and eggplant, along with myeongnanjeot (salted pollock roe). With seasoned bean sprouts and japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), I could try a little of many different side dishes.

The grilled fish arrived crisp. It was mild and tasty to me, and my child ate it well too.

One side dish I initially thought was seokbakji was actually braised potatoes. Seasoned zucchini and rolled omelet were served as well.

There was also seasoned seaweed and stir-fried mushrooms. It was enjoyable to taste the side dishes one by one.

Soy sauce pork bulgogi was also served as a basic side dish, along with doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew). Even before the main dishes arrived, the table felt full of side dishes.

## How were the marinated red snow crab and shrimp?

The marinated red snow crab and shrimp were neatly plated. With the side dishes and two main dishes on the table, the large table was completely filled.

There was an egg yolk inside the crab shell. Mixing the yolk well with the marinated crab and rice was delicious.

There were so many dishes to eat with rice that one bowl did not feel quite enough.

The marinated shrimp were full of roe, and the rich, nutty flavor of the roe stood out. The shrimp flesh was tender too. The marinated red snow crab was well prepared, so it was easy to pick out the meat.

## How did we finish the meal with pot-cooked rice?

At the end, I ate the nurungji from the pot-cooked rice. The rice had crisped nicely against the pot, and the savory scorched rice made the meal feel filling.

The roe-filled marinated shrimp and tender shrimp flesh were what I remembered most from this meal. The marinated red snow crab was easy to eat, and the grilled fish my child enjoyed along with the many side dishes made it a good meal to share.
