Stopping overnight in Wonju on the way to Pyeongchang, two of us ordered set menu 2 (striploin gyukatsu, hamburg omurice and two drinks) plus karaage and fried shrimp, and waited only 10 minutes on a Saturday because tables turn over quickly. With two hours of free parking and baby chairs, Ichigyu Wonju works just as well for a date as for a family meal. ## Good to know - **Location**: 1st floor of the Lotte Cinema building, Musil-dong, Wonju - **Hours**: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM - **Break time**: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM - **Last order**: 2:30 PM / 8:30 PM - **Parking**: Free for 2 hours, spacious lot - **What we ordered**: Set menu 2 (striploin gyukatsu + hamburg omurice + 2 drinks), karaage & fried shrimp - **Seating**: Tables for 2 to 4, baby chairs available - **Good to know**: Rice comes separately with the gyukatsu and extra rice is available / receipt review event *as written by the visitor on Sep 6, 2026* Hope everyone had a good weekend~?! haha I went to Pyeongchang this weekend! On the way there I stopped in Wonju for an overnight stay, and it turns out there's a gyukatsu restaurant in Musil-dong, Wonju! So I hurried over to check it out! Ichigyu Wonju is located on the first floor of the Lotte Cinema building in Musil-dong, Wonju! Parking is free for 2 hours, so I drove there myself~! The parking lot was pretty spacious, so there was plenty of room! haha ## Opening hours and the weekend wait Business hours were 11 AM to 9:30 PM! Break time was 3 PM to 5 PM! Last order times are 2:30 PM / 8:30 PM, so keep that in mind! haha Since it's such a popular restaurant, there was a waiting list in front when I arrived! You write your name on the list and wait, and the staff calls you in order! haha I visited on the weekend, and on Saturday I think I waited about 10 minutes? The clean wood-toned interior really stood out haha There were various seating options from 2-person to 4-person tables! haha The place is so pretty it seemed perfect for a date! Wow... the outside was crispy while the striploin inside was so tender! It was seriously delicious! You could taste the buttery aroma along with it~ it just melted in my mouth haha The salt and wasabi combo was clean and delicious too! With steak sauce it's sweet and delicious! The soft omurice combined with the hamburg steak and rice! It just melted in my mouth haha The karaage also had that totally delicious fried chicken feel! We came by car so sadly couldn't have beer, but this would be the perfect drinking snack haha ## Final thoughts on Ichigyu Wonju This time I visited Ichigyu, a great restaurant in Musil-dong, Wonju! The atmosphere of the place was so nice! And the staff were really kind, which I loved! haha It's right near Lotte Cinema, so it's the perfect spot for a movie and a meal! haha A lot of people come here for dates or family gatherings! haha The food is really delicious too!
