There are so many sashimi restaurants around Jumunjin, so while looking for where to order from, we called Minja Hoetjip ahead because it looked like a good value! Since it is inside Jumunjin Fish Market, you can look around the market too, which makes it a great stop on a trip! We visited by car, and there was a large parking tower right in front of Jumunjin Market, so parking was easy. After parking, we mentioned it at the sashimi restaurant and the owner even made sure to give us parking validation, which was quietly so convenient and nice haha. Eating at the restaurant would have been nice too, but.. that day, we wanted to relax at our accommodation with a drink, so we decided on Jumunjin sashimi takeaway! This time we only took away the assorted sashimi, but on our next Gangneung trip, I really want to try Jumunjin king crab and more seafood too haha. It looks quite generous even in the photos, right?! Especially with this complimentary seafood included, it really felt like we had set out a full sashimi spread at our accommodation, haha. Food at your accommodation while traveling is delicious in itself, but when so many things are laid out generously like this, it somehow feels even more exciting..!! ## Fresh assorted sashimi with lots of variety ![Assorted sashimi with flounder, rockfish, amberjack, and salmon](https://img.superchart.com/images/gangneung-jumunjin-sashimi-takeout/gangneung-jumunjin-sashimi-takeout-24-175iu-900.webp) Several types of sashimi were neatly arranged on one platter. From white fish like flounder and rockfish to reddish amberjack and salmon, there was plenty of variety, making it nice to pick out one piece at a time. The slices were not too thin either, so they still had some texture when you chewed them. Since we took it out and ate it right away at the accommodation, the sashimi still felt really fresh. It was delicious with a little wasabi mixed into soy sauce, and it also went well dipped in chojang (sweet-tangy red chili dipping sauce)! We had eaten lots of different things throughout the trip, so sashimi as the final meal at our accommodation was just perfect. ## Ending a Gangneung trip with sashimi at our accommodation Instead of eating and drinking outside before heading back to the accommodation, taking away sashimi and eating it comfortably there felt much more relaxed! So if you are planning a Gangneung trip like us, I recommend buying various treats at the market, picking up Jumunjin sashimi takeaway too, laying everything out together at your accommodation, and enjoying drinks to wrap up the day! This time, we took away Minja Hoetjip's small assorted sashimi platter to eat at our accommodation, and overall, I was happy with the quality. The parking tower was right nearby, making it easy to visit by car, and it was nice that the owner even provided parking validation. More than anything, I loved that they included complimentary seafood along with the sashimi, so we could put together such a generous spread at our accommodation. It was close to Jumunjin Market and Jumunjin Port, so it was nice to combine with sightseeing. The atmosphere was relatively quieter than Jungang Market, which made it so easy to pick up sashimi at a relaxed pace.
