## Magok griddle-cooked webfoot octopus before a Seoul Botanic Park walk

The weather has been so nice lately that lots of people are heading out for walks and little outings at Seoul Botanic Park, right? I also went out to catch some air around Magok under the warm sunshine recently—but food first, of course! So I went for lunch at Jju Baksa Magok Branch, a popular spot near Seoul Botanic Park and a recommendation for webfoot octopus near Yangcheon Hyanggyo Station~! The spicy, addictive sauce and the beautiful harmony of webfoot octopus and pork belly sizzling away on the griddle were truly a work of art.

Jju Baksa Magok Branch is very close to Magok Station and Balsan Station on Line 5, as well as Seoul Botanic Park, so it is incredibly easy to reach! And the parking is perfect too! They provide generous parking support, making it perfect for a relaxed coffee after your meal or even a walk around Seoul Botanic Park!

I visited at lunchtime, and there were seriously so many people! Wow, I thought, so many people really come here for webfoot octopus near Yangcheon Hyanggyo Station. There is even an outdoor terrace, so on a cool day, there is nothing more healing than sitting outside for a meal!

## Ordering the fried-rice set for three

Looking over the menu, the selection was wonderfully substantial. The individual dishes looked great too, but the set meals, with their good value and generous combinations, really caught my eye. Since the three of us had come for lunch, we ordered the fried-rice set for three without hesitation!

![Fried-rice set order](https://img.superchart.com/images/magok-jjukkumi-set-terrace/magok-jjukkumi-set-terrace-06-128mv-966.webp)

The QR ordering system was so convenient! We simply added what we wanted and ordered right away. You can choose jjukumi (webfoot octopus), jjusam (webfoot octopus and pork belly), or jjusae (webfoot octopus and shrimp), depending on your preference. My mom loves webfoot octopus and my husband loves pork belly, so we chose the nicely balanced jjusam!

We settled into the outdoor terrace, and the cool breeze felt so lovely!

## The basic sides served with webfoot octopus

Not long after we ordered, the basic sides were set out. There were fresh perilla leaves that pair perfectly with spicy webfoot octopus, crisp bean sprouts, refreshing pickled radish wraps, nutty peanut sauce, and soft, fluffy steamed egg!

You know the best combination with webfoot octopus: perilla leaf, pickled radish wrap, and flying fish roe!!

And rather than eating the bean sprouts on their own, they are so much tastier if you toss them into the webfoot-octopus griddle and stir-fry them together!

## A generous staff-cooked griddle of webfoot octopus

Three servings of jjusae were set out. Wow... there was honestly much more than I expected!!! There was plenty of pork belly, plenty of webfoot octopus, and, the key point... lots and lots of rice cakes too! Since it can get breezy on the outdoor terrace, they even set up a guard so the flame would not go out in the wind!

Ah! And this... corn salad... was seriously the kicker. It was so delicious ㅠㅠㅠㅠ Wrapping it up together with the webfoot octopus made it even tastier?!!

The steamed egg was seriously... soft and silky, absolutely the best. And there was so much of it too!

At Jju Baksa Magok Branch, the staff cook all the webfoot octopus for you, so there is nothing for you to fuss with—you can just relax and eat!

I picked up a piece of perfectly cooked webfoot octopus and dipped it into the mayonnaise sauce. Wow, the moment I bit into it, its bouncy, chewy texture filled my mouth along with that addictive sauce. The seasoning was not aggressively spicy; it had just the right savory depth and heat that kept me reaching back for more.

The pork belly was nutty and flavorful with no off smell, and it made the perfect partner for the webfoot octopus.

Put pickled radish wrap on a perilla leaf, add webfoot octopus and pork belly dipped in sauce, then bean sprouts, flying fish roe, and corn salad..... It is the best... a combination you just keep eating. There has not been anywhere in my neighborhood selling griddle-cooked webfoot octopus lately, so I had not had it in ages. Coming back to Jju Baksa Magok Branch for it really lifted my mood!

## Flying fish roe fried rice to finish the set

To finish, it has to be fried rice, right? Since I ordered the fried-rice set, it included three servings of jjusam and one serving of fried rice! The price was ₩47,000! Such a great combination, right? The steamed egg and corn salad were included too. A staff member came over and added rice, seaweed flakes, and flying fish roe to the remaining saucy seasoning, then briskly stir-fried everything until fragrant on the griddle. The seasoning seeped into every grain of rice, and they even spread it wide so the bottom could get just a little crisp—perfect attention to detail.

Inside, there is a self-service bar where you can bring back extra side dishes! If you need more, just help yourself comfortably.

The fragrant perilla leaves, tangy pickled radish wraps, chewy webfoot octopus, and nutty pork belly came together in a grand feast in my mouth. The portions were so generous that we could freely make hearty wraps with lettuce and perilla leaves without worrying about running out, which made it even more satisfying. I came out after such a satisfying meal absolutely stuffed. After a filling, generous lunch at Jju Baksa Magok Branch, we headed straight to nearby Seoul Botanic Park and enjoyed a slow walk. If you want a reliably satisfying lunch with generous portions and a well-rounded set, be sure to visit Jju Baksa Magok Branch at least once.
