The space was roomy, the staff were kind, and it felt very approachable for dining alone, haha. They use Korean-grown kimchi. The menu has the basics—jjajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce), jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), and fried rice—as well as unusual jjamppong with soft tofu, rice noodles, or sujebi (hand-torn dough flakes), plus savory crab-meat and shrimp fried rice. The noodles were cooked just right and did not start sticking together even by the time I finished the bowl—they were so good. I had never seen that combination before, so I ordered it, haha. The sweet jjajangmyeon and spicy mapo tofu worked better together than I expected. The jjajangmyeon had a glossy, thick sauce with a nutty, sweet-and-savory depth that felt like a flavor everyone could enjoy.
