I visited Jinsol Halmeoni Sundubu (진솔할머니순두부) in the Haksapyeong sundubu village in Sokcho. It's been running for over 30 years, making its sundubu (soft tofu stew) in-house from 100% Korean soybeans and deep sea water, and even preparing its own kimchi and side dishes. I came across this Haksapyeong sundubu village while traveling around Sokcho. ## Getting there near Sokcho IC, and parking Jinsol Halmeoni Sundubu sits on Wonamhaksapyeong-gil, an easy stretch to reach from Sokcho IC. They were making a massive batch of wild greens bibimbap, so I could immediately tell this place sees a lot of group visits. ## Inside the restaurant and what's on the menu Once you step inside, the space is much bigger than expected. Here, though, the sundubu felt naturally folded into the jjamppong, and the combination worked really well. We ordered one spicy jjamppong sundubu and one bulgogi baekban and shared both between the two of us — the combo was spot on. ## Final verdict and tips for your visit If you're looking for a Sokcho sundubu restaurant but don't want somewhere too small or with awkward parking, Jinsol Halmeoni Sundubu is worth adding to the list.
