Today I'm writing up my visit to Samsol Gamjatang Main Branch (샘솔감자탕 본점) in Sangin-dong, Dalseo-gu — a place that serves up a generous stone pot of ugeoji ppyeo haejangguk (napa cabbage and pork bone hangover soup), and the combo of tender pork bone meat dipped in mustard sauce was so good!

Oh nice! They also have 2-person tables so solo dining is possible — a solo hangover soup meal sounds great!!

Each table has a tablet for ordering, which made things easy. I ordered ugeoji ppyeo haejangguk since it's the main dish here, but the seolleongtang, pork cutlet, gamjatang, and other menu items looked delicious too,,,🥺

Spoons and disposable aprons were right by the table, so they were easy to grab and use!

It came out bubbling in a big stone pot, and just looking at it felt so satisfying! Hot broth packed with napa cabbage and pork bone meat made for a filling meal, and I loved that I could eat it hot all the way to the end haha👏🏻

The broth blended the savory flavor of the napa cabbage with the deep flavor drawn from the bones so well!

There was plenty of napa cabbage too, and the softly cooked cabbage had soaked up the rich broth nicely, making it great to eat with rice.

There was also plenty of meat still on the bones, so picking it off piece by piece was fun haha

### The pork bone meat really shines dipped in mustard sauce

The well-cooked meat came off the bone easily and had a clean flavor that was tasty even on its own! But dipping it lightly in mustard sauce added a sharp mustard kick and salty tang that really brought out the clean flavor of the meat even more >_< Personally I loved this combination so much I kept dipping it over and over haha

## How was it as a hangover soup spot in Sangin-dong?

So much meat and napa cabbage packed in! I also liked that since it came in a stone pot, the broth didn't cool down easily while I ate😉 Being able to eat it hot from start to finish made me think this dish would be even more appealing on cold or rainy days!

The hot stone pot was generously loaded with napa cabbage and pork bone meat, making for a hearty one-bowl meal, and mixing rice into the savory, deep broth plus dipping the tender pork bone meat in mustard sauce gave it great umami!
