## In short

Jongga Dwaejigukbap is a pork gukbap (rice and pork-broth soup) restaurant in a Seowon 3-gil alley in Jung-gu, Ulsan. On a chilly day the writer had mixed gukbap and a tasting plate of suyuk (boiled pork slices) for lunch at Jongga Dwaejigukbap, then took sundae (Korean blood sausage) back to the office to share — the broth was clear and clean with no gamy smell, and the portions of offal and meat were generous. There is no parking lot, but the house-made side dishes made it a satisfying 10,000-won meal.

The weather's gotten a lot cooler lately 🍂 Once it turns chilly, I start craving warm soup. I was trying to figure out what to eat for lunch and gukbap (rice and broth soup) came to mind, so I visited this pork gukbap place 😚

## Jongga Dwaejigukbap on Seowon 3-gil, Ulsan: is there parking?

Jongga Dwaejigukbap is a pork gukbap restaurant tucked in an alley in Bangu-dong, at 3 Seowon 3-gil, Jung-gu, Ulsan. No parking lot ❌ I had something to buy at Homeplus anyway so I walked over haha. Street parking is a game of luck..ㅠㅠ

As soon as you turn into the alley, the yellow sign is right there. It really stands out, so it's easy to find haha.

### Milmyeon noodles: a seasonal menu from April to September

Jongga Dwaejigukbap also does milmyeon (chewy wheat noodles) as a seasonal item. From April through September!! There aren't many 3-dae Seoga milmyeon franchise locations nationwide, and apparently this is the only one in Ulsan! You can get milmyeon and gukbap in one visit, so it's win-win 😉

## Inside Jongga Dwaejigukbap and the self-serve side dishes

The interior was more spacious and pleasant than I expected. The lighting was bright enough that it never felt cramped 💡 And nice touch — there's a baby chair too!

Each table comes with a basic setup like this!

Extra side dishes are self-serve. I feel more comfortable taking just what I'll eat haha. It's a waste to leave leftovers ㅠㅠ (take only as much as you'll finish~)

### Menu prices and the tasting plate of suyuk

The gukbap is an easy-on-the-wallet ₩10,000 haha. I always want to order suyuk (boiled pork slices) but hesitate because the portions are usually so big — so it's great that they offer a tasting-size suyuk!

I liked that the dadegi (spicy chili paste) and saeujeot (salted shrimp) were neatly set out. First I enjoyed the deep flavor of the clear broth on its own for a while, then about halfway through I stirred in a bit of saeujeot for a clean, savory, salty kick!

The napa cabbage kimchi and spicy pepper muchim (seasoned side dish) really suited my taste! Kimchi matters a lot with gukbap, and the napa cabbage kimchi here is the best!

Chives are also self-serve for extra, so add as much as you like haha.

Every single side dish is made by the owner by hand! It's a hearty meal you can trust.

## How does the mixed gukbap taste? Pork gukbap 10.0

From the very first spoonful, Jongga Dwaejigukbap's gukbap had a clean broth with no gamy smell at all. Doesn't the broth just look clear and clean? ㅎㅎ Having warm soup warms you right up inside — maybe that's the real charm of gukbap.

It comes seasoned to a basic level already, but if you stir in a little dadegi or saeujeot to taste, it turns spicy and savory in the best way! This was the mixed gukbap, loaded with both organs and meat. Too bad the video doesn't quite capture it ㅠㅠ

## Tasting suyuk 10.0

The tasting suyuk at Jongga Dwaejigukbap has none of the gamy smell pork can sometimes have, so even people trying gukbap or suyuk for the first time should be able to enjoy it without any complaints. The meat is even tender. If they hadn't offered a tasting portion, that would've been a real shame...

You can't skip the lettuce wraps with suyuk! ㅎㅎ Make sure to wrap the suyuk in fresh lettuce leaves.

## Sundae 10.0, taken to go and shared at work

I was shocked at how much sundae (blood sausage) you get for this price. The portion was huge and the taste was ㅠㅠ I got it to go and ate it at work, and my coworkers all said it was delicious and asked where it was from. Just like the suyuk, no gamy smell, totally clean! I really hope you'll try both the suyuk and the sundae~

![A generous plate of sundae](https://img.superchart.com/images/jonga-pork-gukbap-ulsan-bangu/jonga-pork-gukbap-ulsan-bangu-21-6cah4-900.webp)

There's even a coffee vending machine so you can finish your meal with a cup of coffee! It's a small thing, but I think customers will appreciate it haha.

The taste is great, but the owner is also really kind haha. These days a lot of gukbap places use store-bought broth or premade side dishes, right? But this place felt like it had a different level of care put into it. It turns out the owner personally simmers the broth for a long time right at the restaurant, and makes every single side dish by hand! If you're in the mood for that rare, genuine homemade taste, I definitely recommend paying a visit!
