I'd been to another branch of Haetan before and remembered it being delicious, so when I heard they'd opened one in Byeongjeom, Hwaseong, I had to check it out. Haetan is the kind of place you can trust because it's been featured on TV shows like Live Today (생방송투데이) and The Delicious Guys (맛있는녀석들). It's sweet and spicy. The regular spice level is about as spicy as Shin Ramyun, and you can choose mild or spicy when you order. It's even better eaten together with the pickled onions. The hot-plate squid sauce is so good you can mix it into rice, and dipping the fried squid into that sauce is delicious too. There's a Naver receipt review event where if you write a review with a photo attached, you can get fried squid mandu (5 pieces) or a drink (1 can), so definitely take part in that too~~ Squid is a low-fat, high-protein, low-calorie ingredient that anyone can enjoy without guilt, which makes Haetan Hwaseong Byeongjeom a great spot for family gatherings or work dinners.
