Every time I drove past Misa-daero on the way to Starfield Hanam, I told myself I had to check this place out haha. I finally made it to O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch!

The interior of O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch felt really clean and tidy overall! There's plenty of seating and the tables aren't cramped, but what I liked most was how many private seating areas there are.

It's great for a family meal, and also works well if you're bringing your parents or dining with a larger group.

Once you sit down, the basic side dishes come out — served by a robot hahaha. It sets the side dishes down on the table and then you just send it back on its way.

You can freely grab more from the self-serve bar if you run out of side dishes. It's not just side dishes either — there was also dessert fruit, oranges, to enjoy after the meal, which was a nice touch. They also sell kimchi there, so if it suits your taste, it might be worth picking some up!

## Seafood abalone rice soup: mild enough to share with a child

We ordered the seafood abalone rice soup and the fresh tenderloin tangsuyuk.

Rich broth bubbling away on the hot stone pot, crispy scorched rice, and a generous helping of seafood and abalone! The warm broth mixed with the soft scorched rice made for a savory yet clean flavor.

With the seafood and abalone in it, the dish looked hearty and had a nice tender texture. What I loved most was that it wasn't heavily seasoned! Nurungjitang and other Chinese dishes can easily end up too salty or intense, but the broth here wasn't overly salty or strong, so it was really easy to share with my kid hahaha.

## How was the fresh tenderloin tangsuyuk?

We also ordered the fresh tenderloin tangsuyuk! Tangsuyuk really should be eaten alongside nurungjitang haha. Since they use domestic chilled fresh tenderloin, the meat wasn't dry at all — it was soft and moist inside. The outside was fried up crispy, and biting in, you'd get that crunch first, then the tender texture of the tenderloin underneath — genuinely delicious.

The tangsuyuk sauce also wasn't overly intense or heavily sweet — more of a balanced sweet-and-sour flavor that went well with the rice soup. Especially when eating with a kid, you can dip the meat separately into the sauce, so it's easy to adjust to their taste. Since the rice soup is on the lighter side, having crispy tangsuyuk in between bites made for a great combination!

They also offer a takeout discount and delivery, so I'll definitely order in whenever I'm craving nurungjitang!
