While looking for somewhere to go in Hongdae, I found a slightly special spot: TAGE Indoor Camping Hongdae Main Branch (티에이지실내캠핑장 홍대본점), an indoor camping venue where you can grill meat, play games, and watch videos. On hot or rainy days like these, outdoor plans can be a little awkward, so I loved that I could enjoy a camping mood indoors without worrying about the weather.

Once I actually went downstairs, the atmosphere felt completely different from an ordinary restaurant, so it felt unusual from the moment I walked in.

Even in the middle of the city, it was decorated like a campsite, so it really felt like I had come out to have fun with friends.

## Indoor camping without weather or gear worries

My favorite part was, of course, that it was indoors. When you want to camp, you have to check the weather, prepare equipment, and bring all sorts of things, right? I liked being able to drop by comfortably and enjoy just the camping vibe without those burdens.

Even on rainy or extremely hot days, your plans are less affected, and you can spend time grilling meat without worrying about bugs. The lighting, plants, and camping props made the interior cozier than I expected, with photo-worthy spots throughout. It was nice for taking photos with friends, and also a good space for couples to enjoy the atmosphere together.

## From Nintendo to free karaoke

This is not somewhere you simply eat and leave; there is quite a lot to enjoy during your visit. You can play Nintendo and use shared arcade machines. Board games are available too, which makes it easy to pass the time when several people visit together.

It is also a highly useful space for days when lots of friends are getting together. It is set up to work well for larger gatherings such as company workshops, indoor outings, and group dinners. The more people you have for outdoor camping, the more there is to prepare and the more weather affects things, but here you can take care of it all indoors.

## The day we grilled frozen and fresh pork belly

That day, we had frozen pork belly and fresh pork belly. When it comes to camping, you cannot leave out the fun of grilling meat, right? haha. Putting the meat on the grill and cooking it until golden gave us a real camping feeling, even though we were indoors.

We chatted while eating and played games here and there, so we could stay and have fun much longer than we would with a simple meal. You might worry about smoke or smells when grilling meat indoors, but the space has ventilation facilities, so it was more comfortable than expected.

## Takeout, delivery food, and outside alcohol

You can order meat from the venue, but you can also use takeout or delivery food. If you bring takeout food, you can use your table as usual; if you bring your own meat, you need to prepare a grill plate and butane gas separately. Burner use is free. Since delivery food is allowed too, you are not limited to food prepared at the venue. However, if you use takeout or delivery, you need to sort your own food waste and rubbish, so please keep that in mind.

The venue sells pork belly too, prepared to be relatively affordable when the usage fee is taken into account, and you can also order fresh pork belly prepared that day.

If you bring wine or spirits, corkage applies per table. It is listed as ₩15,000 per table for four people, with no quantity limit. However, soju, beer, and beverages sold at the venue are difficult to bring in from outside, so it is best to check before visiting.

At first, I thought it was simply a place to enjoy a camping atmosphere indoors, but once I went, there was actually quite a lot to do. You can grill meat, play Nintendo and board games, watch YouTube or Netflix, and even use karaoke, so it is easy to spend time all in one place. That made it feel like a good option not only for gatherings with friends, but also for an unusual Hongdae date, a Hongdae party room for a larger group, or something to do in Hongdae on a rainy day.
