## In short

Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch is a charcoal-grilled Korean pork BBQ restaurant in Busanjin, Busan, across from the Paris Baguette at Jeonpo Station Exit 2, specializing in dwitgogi (rare pork off-cuts). On a weekend evening the order was the 500g dwitdon half-set with bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold buckwheat noodles) and doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice), grilled starting from the dwittongsal neck-back cut and moving clockwise. The pork had none of the gamey smell dwitgogi can carry — clean and nutty right to the last piece, never heavy.

This weekend, dinner was at a Jeonpo-dong pork BBQ spot everyone talks about, Dwitdon Sanghoe — and I came back really full and really happy!

## Where is Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch in Jeonpo-dong?

![Exterior of Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch near Jeonpo Station Exit 2](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order-02-1dphr-900.webp)

Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch sits right across from Paris Baguette after you come out of Line 1 Jeonpo Station Exit 2 — super easy to spot, and great for anyone coming by public transit.

And since I took public transit, I could have a drink too, haha!

![Signboard at the entrance listing dwitgogi cuts](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order-03-13lly-900.webp)

At the entrance there's a menu board showing all the different dwitgogi (rare pork off-cut) options — besides the usual samgyeopsal (pork belly) and mokgyeongsal (pork neck), you can try duhangjeong, dwittongsal, seolhasal, ppolsal, gwanjasal, kotdeungsal, dondusamgyeop, doraechang, tail, and more.

Inside, the restaurant is really spacious and comfortable, without that heavy greasy smell you often get at pork BBQ spots — very clean.

## What cut of pork is dwitgogi?

Dwitgogi is a rare-cut category — only 150–200g comes off each pig, so supply is limited and it never becomes a mainstream cut. But each part has its own chewy texture and nutty flavor that's really something special.

![Explanation of dwitgogi rare cuts](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order-07-118br-900.webp)

There's also a self-service corner in the middle of the restaurant where you can freely help yourself to basic side dishes and ssamjang (dipping paste) while eating.

Nothing spilled or messy — really clean and well kept.

They also have recommendations for anyone new to pork off-cuts.

- If you like a good balance of fat and meat: dwittongsal, dusamgyeop, dondu-roll!
- If you don't like fatty cuts and want thick slices with juicy bite: doraechang, dontail, gotdeungsal!
- If you love hangjeongsal (pork jowl) but want to try something different from the usual: duhangjeong!

## Menu and ordering at Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch

![Menu at Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order-09-zeaoo-900.webp)

Let's take a look at the menu! You can order individual cuts using the owner's recommendations on each cut's character,

or, if you'd rather just try a bit of everything without overthinking it, go for one of the dwitdon set menus — whole, half, or combo.

I went with the dwitdon half-set at 500g, plus bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold buckwheat noodles) and doenjang sulbap (fermented soybean paste rice) for dinner!

![Table set with the ordered dwitdon half-set](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order-10-gc8hl-900.webp)

Soon the dishes started arriving. The meat was thick and generous — so satisfying just to look at.

## What comes in the 500g dwitdon half-set, and how to grill it

![The 500g dwitdon half-set spread](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order-11-1auk8-900.webp)

It's called a half-set, but it's still 500g — a really solid amount for the price. Each cut is labeled, so it's easy to try them one by one.

![Dwitgogi cuts arranged on a pig-shaped plate](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order-12-1tn9u-900.webp)

The plate the meat came on was shaped like a pig — haha, too cute. And there's just one rule for grilling: start at the cut labeled dwittongsal (neck-back) and work your way clockwise around the plate for the best result.

![Bibimmyeon, gat kimchi, and pa-muchim served as basic side dishes](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order-13-1yye3-900.webp)

The bibimmyeon (spicy mixed noodles) that came as a side dish — oh man, perfect palate cleanser.

Alongside that came jeotgal (salted seafood), gat kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi), and pa-muchim (scallion salad), all great companions for grilled pork.

There was also a little dish with three individual sauces — spicy, salt, and curry — so you could mix things up plenty.

Starting with a cold beer before the meat hits the grill makes everything taste even better!

## Charcoal-grilled dwittongsal: any gamey smell?

Soon the charcoal arrived and it was time to start grilling! I laid the dwittongsal (neck-back cut) down first on the hot grill.

![Dwittongsal placed on the charcoal grill](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order-16-1kn7m-900.webp)

The meat was thick, so turning it around carefully, cutting it with scissors, and making sure the edges cooked through gave the best result.

I picked up a well-cooked piece of dwittongsal and got that classic dwitgogi nuttiness I hadn't had in a while.

Just a dip of salt and one bite — dwitgogi can sometimes have a strong gamey smell if it's not handled well, but this was so clean, tender, and flavorful.

Wrapped in lettuce with some pa-muchim, that signature dwitgogi nuttiness came through even more.

## Doenjang sulbap and bibim naengmyeon as sides

While the meat kept grilling, the rest of the food arrived too!

![Doenjang sulbap and other dishes arriving alongside the meat](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order/jeonpo-dwitgogi-half-set-grill-order-20-yya26-900.webp)

First up, the doenjang sulbap — so generous and delicious. Honestly, this rice is a must-order.

Scoop it into your own bowl, blow on it a bit, and dig in — it's rich and nutty, with that old-fashioned countryside doenjang flavor, packed full of meat. Incredibly good.

A cold sip of beer, a bite of dwitgogi, a bite of doenjang sulbap — repeat. Perfect, haha.

I also tried the bibim naengmyeon that pairs so well wrapped up with the meat. Mix it well and eat it alongside the pork — nutty and great together!

Keep the grilling going without a break, following the order around the plate, and it stays clean and never gets greasy, all the way to the last bite.

## Is the Jeonpo-dong pork BBQ half-set worth it?

Thanks to Dwitdon Sanghoe, the Jeonpo-dong pork BBQ restaurant everyone raves about, I had another really enjoyable dinner tonight.

I used to think only samgyeopsal and mokgyeongsal tasted great, but after trying the assorted dwitgogi here, I realized pretty much every cut of pork can be delicious.

Above all, thanks to Dwitdon Sanghoe's focus on premium Korean pork rare cuts, I got to enjoy dwitgogi in the best way possible.
