## In short

Bisyoku Gwangan Branch is a Japanese-style yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant in Gwangalli, Suyeong-gu, Busan. The Asashi Set (200g special top sirloin + 300g pork belly + grilled vegetables) is 79,000 won and the Korean beef doenjang stew is 10,000 won, and pressing the pig-shaped call bell brings free side-dish refills before snow falls indoors at set times. With an atmosphere straight out of a Japanese anime, Bisyoku Gwangan Branch works well as an anniversary date spot.

I visited Bisyoku, a Gwangalli grill house restaurant with a strong Japanese vibe. It's a yakiniku spot, and apparently the only place in Busan where it snows indoors 365 days a year!

## Bisyoku's interior: like a scene from a Japanese anime

Bisyoku was inspired by Konpachi Nishiazabu in Tokyo, Japan, and uses Japanese lanterns, natural wood, and bamboo to create a space that feels like it's straight out of a Japanese anime scene.

Honestly, if you only saw the photos, you'd believe this was in Japan!

### What are the seating options at Bisyoku Gwangan Branch?

The first floor of Bisyoku Gwangan Branch is divided into a U-shape. On the right are partitioned tables, in front is the counter, and on the left are a bar table and 4-seat tables. There's also plenty of seating on the 2nd floor!

Since there were two of us, we sat at the bar table. They set up bowls of side dishes, small plates, and water cups — even the dishware had a lot of Japanese flair and was so cute!

They give you a separate main menu and drinks menu, and the drink selection was huge. (Corkage is available too!)

## What comes with the 79,000 won Asashi Set, and how does it taste?

Sets are the main thing at Bisyoku, so I ordered the Asashi Set: special top sirloin 200g + pork belly 300g + grilled vegetables for ₩79,000. At first, the staff grills it for you and places it on your small plate.

![Special top sirloin from the Asashi Set grilled by staff](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-bishoku-snow-time-pig-bell/gwangalli-bishoku-snow-time-pig-bell-16-f90wg-900.webp)

The tare sauce comes with an egg yolk in it — you pop it and mix it into the sauce, then dip the special top sirloin generously. It's savory, sweet-salty, and the combination is just so good!

Next was the pork belly, sliced thin. It cooks quickly, which is nice haha.

I ate it with a bit of pickled pepper strips and wasabi on top.

Paired with vinegar-and-salt-seasoned chopped scallion pickles, the seasoning was just right haha. Instead of the usual pork-belly-restaurant sauces and side dishes, they had clean, light side dishes suited to beef, which went perfectly with the thin pork belly.

Ooh~ the color is insane! I wanted to grill up more of the special top sirloin, but by then I'd finished all the side dishes and had nothing left to eat it with…

## The pig-shaped call bell and free side-dish refills

On the tables at Bisyoku Gwangan Branch there's a pig-shaped doll — press it firmly and it goes 'oink!' loudly, calling a staff member over haha. When our side dishes ran out, we pressed it to ask for a refill.

![Bisyoku's pig-shaped call bell for staff service](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-bishoku-snow-time-pig-bell/gwangalli-bishoku-snow-time-pig-bell-20-18117-900.webp)

When we asked for a refill, they brought out a new plate piled even higher than before... (the staff were so kind, thumbs up👍) While we were in the middle of eating, suddenly it started snowing outside!!!

## Indoor snow times: Busan's only restaurant with snow 365 days a year

![Snow falling performance in front of Bisyoku Gwangan Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-bishoku-snow-time-pig-bell/gwangalli-bishoku-snow-time-pig-bell-21-yszar-900.webp)

Seeing snow in summer felt strange, and it's especially rare to see snow in Busan — it felt like going back to childhood, pretty and heartwarming :)

- Weekdays: 6:30pm / 8:30pm
- Weekends: 1pm / 6pm / 7pm / 8pm / 9pm

## Korean beef doenjang stew, 10,000 won for a huge portion

By the end, the pork belly felt a bit greasy and I was craving something spicy. So I asked for Bisyoku's beef doenjang stew (₩10,000) to be made extra spicy!

![Beef doenjang stew ordered extra spicy](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-bishoku-snow-time-pig-bell/gwangalli-bishoku-snow-time-pig-bell-22-blhoh-900.webp)

![Beef doenjang stew with pieces of cut blue crab](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-bishoku-snow-time-pig-bell/gwangalli-bishoku-snow-time-pig-bell-23-fmumb-900.webp)

₩10,000 felt a little pricey at first, but wow, what a portion... plenty of beef, plenty of vegetables, and even three whole pieces of cut blue crab! With so many ingredients, the flavor was deep, and I think it would've been even better if it were a bit spicier! We were already pretty full, and the portion was so big we left about half... thinking about it now, what a waste ㅠㅠ

## Who is Bisyoku Gwangan Branch best for?

Bisyoku — the only place in Busan with 365-day indoor snow, and a top pick for Gwangalli yakiniku and Gwangalli grill house food! It's a great anniversary date spot, and I'd also recommend it to anyone who loves beef👍 My boyfriend and I have an anniversary coming up soon, so I'll have to bring him here next time haha.
