I brought my six-year-old and their friend along, and I found this place while looking for somewhere easy to go with kids. The hall is spacious and comfortable! They have baby chairs too, so you can visit with confidence! A condition for a good restaurant: a huge parking lot!!!!! And added beef! A white-broth hot pot kalguksu that's not too much even for kids' palates! The moms wanted the red broth, but we passed and just loaded up on cheongyang chili instead. The broth was genuinely so refreshing. Perfect for curing a hangover. The beef add-on was only ₩7,000, so we added two for a hearty meal. The meatball mandu was packed generously with meat, giving a good chewy bite, and the noodles were freshly made in-house, so they were chewy yet soft — the kids slurped them right up. Noodles with chives mixed in! Perfect for kids who don't eat vegetables! The price was also quite reasonable. Given today's dining costs, this quality at this price means I'll be coming back for sure — 100%. Each serving is ₩8,000, and the set is perfect: kalguksu, mandu, corn bread and barley rice. The hot pot broth especially was so good I refilled it four times! Even though we were already full after the meal, it was sweet and soft, and the kids especially loved it. A kalguksu meal that even comes with dessert — I think I'll visit every time I come to Hakhyeon. Even with a friend along, all the kids finished their meal happily. From an adult's perspective too, the broth had a clean flavor that wasn't overwhelming, so it was a satisfying meal. If you're looking for a Korean restaurant in Anjung, Pyeongtaek that's good to visit with kids, I'd recommend Songdam Kalguksu.
