## In short

Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia is a wood-fired pizza and ttukbaegi (stone pot) pasta restaurant on Nampyeong-ro in Yangji-eup, Yongin, Gyeonggi. The writer came with a husband who prefers Korean food and a picky-eater child, and ordered the ppesce hangover pasta (24,000 won) and the margherita wood-fired pizza (21,000 won); the shallow tomato-seafood broth with nurungji (crispy scorched rice) was the real kick. Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia is a Yangji, Yongin restaurant that even Korean-food purists in the family will enjoy.

I live with a husband who's a total Korean-food purist. But don't you ever have those days when you just crave pizza and pasta? I found a Yangji, Yongin restaurant where even my Korean-food-loving husband can genuinely enjoy the meal!

It's Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia (뚝배기에 담은 이탈리아, "Italy served in a stone pot") in Yangji! Did you know they have a hangover pasta on the menu? I heard it even has crispy scorched rice (nurungji) in it, and I got so curious I went this very weekend!

## Private rooms at Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia: good for group meals

Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia has a separate room on one side, so it works for family gatherings or work dinners too. We visited on a weekend morning and it was really packed.

Plenty of couples on dates, but also lots of families with kids.

With a separate room tucked to one side, it's a good Yangji spot for anniversaries, family gatherings, or work dinners.

## Ppesce hangover pasta, 24,000 won: the crispy rice is the real kick

Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia's best menu item, the ppesce (hangover pasta), is ₩24,000. It comes in a shallow tomato broth loaded with mussels, squid, shrimp, clams, and baby octopus — plus crispy scorched rice (nurungji).

![Hangover pasta ppesce served in a ttukbaegi stone pot](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye-09-13x3k-900.webp)

The restaurant's best menu item. The hangover pasta 'ppesce' — I already loved the name — finally arrived!

![Close-up of the ttukbaegi hangover pasta ppesce](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye-10-zn8td-900.webp)

How did they even think of putting spaghetti in a ttukbaegi (stone pot)... haha, the look of it alone is so charming! The pot is hot, so be careful if you're going with kids :)

![Shallow tomato broth seafood pasta](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye-11-tl23h-900.webp)

The shallow broth packed with seafood looked incredibly appetizing. Mussels, squid, shrimp, clams, and baby octopus, all piled in generously.

![Scooping up the crispy rice from the broth](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye-13-1tnjs-900.webp)

The pasta and seafood were great, but the real kick was the soft crispy rice soaked into that broth! Simmered with seafood, the shallow tomato pasta broth was absolutely amazing. Soft, rich broth and mushy rice — I couldn't put my spoon down...

I wasn't actually nursing a hangover, but I expected it to be spicy and intense — turns out it wasn't. It's tomato-sauce based, so just a mild kick. So I told my kid "it's not spicy, try it~" and after one bite he said it was spicy lol.

![A bowl of mildly spicy tomato-based ppesce](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye-15-1s7p4-900.webp)

Since it comes in a stone pot, it stays warm until the very end, which was great. A tomato-based broth pasta with seafood and crispy scorched rice — I don't think anywhere else does this...? If you're looking for a special place to eat in Yangji, Yongin, go for it!

## Margherita wood-fired pizza, 21,000 won: three slices for a picky eater

Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia's margherita wood-fired pizza is ₩21,000, made with tomato sauce, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, and mozzarella. It took longer to cook than the ppesce (hangover pasta).

![A whole margherita wood-fired pizza](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye-17-11m3j-900.webp)

My kid was waiting so impatiently lol. It's finally here!!

![Margherita pizza topped with cherry tomatoes and basil](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye-18-vc1se-671.webp)

I let my kid try transferring the pizza slice himself, and the cheese stretched so much I panicked. No matter how high he lifted it, the cheese just wouldn't break...

![Mozzarella cheese stretching without breaking](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye-19-g3yon-900.webp)

Chef, why so much cheese?! lol I had to capture this, so I told him mom would transfer it to a plate again and took a photo lol.

I'd never seen my picky little gourmet eat pizza this aggressively. 😂 When I asked him at bedtime what the happiest moment of his day was, he said it was eating pizza... 😂 lol

![Cross-section of the thin-crust margherita pizza](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye-22-ifpea-900.webp)

You could tell everything from the cheese down was fresh, and the thin crust made everything come together nicely. The tomato sauce didn't taste artificial at all — very clean. My kid usually doesn't eat cherry tomatoes, but he cleared every single one off the toppings!

He ate three slices in a row then said he was full lol. As long as you're happy, kiddo. Next time let's get the pepperoni pizza ^^ A Yangji restaurant that wins over kids' taste buds too — no wonder there were so many kids there :)

## Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia Yangji menu and prices

Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia's Yangji branch has a wide menu, from pasta starting at ₩18,000, to wood-fired pizza, calzones, pilaf, risotto, and salads. Because of my husband, we ordered the hangover pasta plus the margherita pizza my kid picked, but looking at other tables, some seriously stunning pizzas and pastas caught my eye.

The bulgogi salad pizza in particular seemed to be a popular order. The rosé bacon calzone is also something I haven't tried and am super curious about. With pilaf, steak, risotto and more, there's so much to try, so I've bookmarked it for next time. Here's the fuller menu and pricing below (careful, there's even more than this!)

- Aglio e olio ₩18,000
- Tomato seafood pasta ₩19,000
- Cream pane pasta ₩23,000
- Ppesce (hangover pasta) ₩24,000
- Margherita wood-fired pizza ₩21,000
- Gorgonzola wood-fired pizza ₩20,000
- Bulgogi salad wood-fired pizza ₩23,000
- Rosé bacon calzone ₩25,000
- Mongolian special pilaf ₩19,000
- Tomato chicken cheese risotto ₩20,000
- Handmade ricotta cheese salad ₩18,000

Now I'm dying to try all the other menu items too :)

## What do you get from the review event?

At Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia's Yangji branch, I got a free zero-sugar cola through their Naver review event. There was also a roulette spin, and apparently the wheel has no losing slots.

![Sign for the Naver review event roulette](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye/yongin-yangji-haejang-pasta-ppasye-23-zvc6e-900.webp)

The prizes were generous too. Dining vouchers worth ₩100,000 down to ₩50,000, a gorgonzola pizza, the seasonal ttukbaegi salad, or an ade drink! We were basically done with our meal before we remembered to spin, so we missed it. Even just an ade would've made me pretty happy haha.

If you're craving pizza and pasta this weekend, why not try Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia's Yangji branch? Even my Korean-food-purist husband was fully satisfied with just the hangover pasta — a solid Yangji, Yongin restaurant. Next time we'll come back for the rosé bacon calzone and the pepperoni pizza~❤️
