## How to get to Dadam Shabu Shabu: 8 minutes from Namwirye Station, 3-hour parking

The weather suddenly turned chilly and I was craving warm soup, so when I heard there was a decent shabu-shabu & Vietnamese wrap place near Wirye Station History Waterside Park's Seoil-ro Village, I went to check it out.

It's an 8-minute walk from Namwirye Station, and parking is available for up to 3 hours, so it was an easy visit. I was lucky enough to park right outside the building 👍🏻

## The 120-minute limit at Dadam, and why window seats need a reservation

The dining time is 120 minutes. They're open from 11am to 8pm, with last order at 8pm!

The interior was much more spacious and pleasant than I expected, which suited me perfectly since I've been preferring clean, tidy spaces these days.

If you make a reservation, you can sit at the floor-to-ceiling window seats — the view of the waterside park through the windows was really pretty. I regretted not booking in advance 😿 Next time I have a gathering here, I'll definitely reserve a window seat!

## Three broths at Dadam: half spicy, half clear seafood

Looking at the menu, there were three broth options: clear broth, spicy broth, and clear seafood broth. (You order the broth via tablet.)

I ordered half spicy broth and half clear seafood broth. If the broth runs low, you can just grab more from the self-bar.

## Dadam's 40-item self-bar and its Garak Market vegetables

The self-bar had a generous spread of fresh vegetables and ingredients to add to the shabu-shabu — apparently around 40 different kinds 👏🏻

What impressed me most was how fresh the vegetables were — it turns out the owner personally goes to Garak Market every day to bring back fresh produce.

The rice paper here wasn't the usual round kind but square rice paper. I actually find square rice paper easier to wrap with 👏🏻

### Beef brisket or beef neck: which cut to pick at Dadam

There were two types of meat: beef brisket and beef neck. If you usually like a bit of fat for a softer texture, go with the brisket; if you prefer something leaner, I'd recommend the neck meat instead.

I piled up meat and vegetables to my taste, dropped them into the broth, and the resulting soup was spicy yet deep — really excellent.

There was also a wide variety of vegetables for wolnamssam (Vietnamese rice paper wraps), so wrapping fresh vegetables and meat in rice paper was fun too. Those bite-sized wraps were seriously the best 👏🏻

The biggest strength of this Wirye favorite, Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam Wirye Branch, is unlimited meat — I left with plenty of protein in me 👍🏻 (There's just something about shabu-shabu meat that feels healthy 😹)

## How the Dadam meal ends: porridge, ice cream and coffee

The perfect end to a shabu-shabu meal is porridge cooked with rice! Leaving a bit of the rich broth behind and simmering rice in it to make porridge was the perfect finish — carb refill complete!

They also offer takeout, so it seems handy to grab some to go sometime. If you're looking for a clean, good-view shabu-shabu spot near Wirye, I'd say it's worth a visit.
