The order was kimchi dakdoritang (spicy kimchi stew with chicken and beef intestine) under a blanket of egg garnish, cheese bomb potato pancake, flying fish roe rice balls, and a closing fried rice the owner described as "one portion that's like two." Last week too — went to a bar in Seomyeon after a while, and the side dishes were so good I left completely satisfied. This is Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch, a Seomyeon spot known for great anju (drinking snacks). We ate so enthusiastically everyone nearly burst. ## Where Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch is and when it opens Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch is on the 2nd floor of the Thursday Party 2 building in Seomyeon. The interior is spacious with lots of tables, so it looked great for group gatherings too. After much deliberation we ordered the kimchi dakdoritang — only to realize afterward that we could've added ramyeon, udon, or flat glass noodles. It's a dish combining kimchi, beef intestine, and braised chicken stew, and the kicker here was the egg garnish piled generously on top of the spicy, delicious broth!! The egg garnish, soaked up with the broth, went so well with every ingredient. Haha, mid-way through filming the food I struck a pose for the camera★ True to its name, a whole kimchi goes in, and you just snip it into easy-to-eat pieces with the provided tongs and scissors. It came fully cooked so we could dig in right away, which was so nice — and the beef intestine was thick and totally my type. It's technically a side dish, but the portion was huge, made from grated potato, and the kicker was that it came with fire chicken sauce!!! Obligatory cheese pull shot. Now I'm curious about the fire chicken egg pancake too...!!! > Whoever thought of pairing cheese potato pancake with fire chicken sauce is a genius, right..?! Pretty decent heart-drawing skills(?). Then he personally scraped up the crispy burnt rice for us, and that part was seriously the best bite. We ate well, walked out satisfied, and even got a photo to prove it. Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch, a Seomyeon spot known for its great anju, has a spacious interior with wide gaps between tables, making it great for chatting with friends or going as a group.
