Like hidden masters tucked away, Bongsan-dong has some seriously good cafés and restaurants hiding in plain sight, and this time I visited Dento, a brand-new brunch café near Banwoldang Station in Bongsan-dong. As I mentioned, each one uses seriously premium ingredients..! With ingredients like these making up the sandwiches, the taste is basically guaranteed! For me, the third one, the romesco roasted vegetable sandwich, was the tastiest. The not-too-spicy sweet-savory sauce paired beautifully with the just-right roasted vegetables. The first, pan con tomate, had that fresh tomato brightness — you could really taste the raw tomato — so it felt like a healthy, delicious bite. The second, avocado salmon, can't miss; I love salmon anyway, and it worked great with the avocado. Last, the truffle ricotta sandwich was packed with truffle aroma and flavor, which really maximized that café-break feeling. If you're looking for a pretty café in Daegu to chat and unwind with friends, or exploring new cafés, or hunting for a great brunch spot, I highly recommend Dento in Bongsan-dong!
