## Ordering Salt-Grilled Eel, Seasoned Eel, and Yeolmu Noodles

We ordered two portions of special salt-grilled eel (₩12,800) each, two portions of special seasoned grilled eel (₩13,800) each, and yeolmu mani guksu (noodles with plenty of young radish greens, ₩6,800)~

A whole spread of pickles that are perfect with eel~~ Especially!! That green-onion kimchi!!!!!! It was soooo good~~~ There’s a self-service bar, so you can bring back more~~

### Salt-Grilled Eel for Its Pure, Natural Flavor

The salt-grilled eel came out first~~ The eel was nice and plump, and because it had already been par-grilled, it saved time; we only had to grill it a little more until golden and eat. So convenient 👌 Love things like this~~

Salt-grilled eel is the menu item where you can really taste the eel’s own nutty, clean flavor, so my anticipation was 🆙🆙 from the first bite. Golden outside, with moist and tender flesh~~ Its rich, oily aroma spread gently, but the salt kept the seasoning clean, so it was less heavy than expected and nicely mild~~ Dipped in the basic eel sauce... whew, I’m craving it again ㅜ

It went so well with the chive-and-onion sauce they gave us too! The eel itself was especially nutty, so with every chew it felt like clean flavor → nuttiness → deep richness arrived one after another????? Personally, I’d recommend the salt-grilled eel to anyone who loves eel’s natural taste.

### Seasoned Grilled Eel with Sweet-Spicy Umami

You can’t lose either, right??? Here comes the seasoned grilled eel~~ If the salt-grilled eel has a clean, nutty charm, this one is all about umami and flavor coming alive!

The seasoning had soaked nicely between the eel flesh, so the combination of tender eel + sweet-spicy seasoning + a gentle charred aroma was quite irresistible.! More than anything, the seasoned eel’s rich flavor blended so well with the sauce’s umami that I kept reaching for it with my chopsticks~ The sauce had such great umami!

It was also so good with pickled perilla leaves~~ I especially love the combination of perilla leaf and pickled ginger!! 👍🏻 And a perilla-leaf wrap? What more is there to say??????????

If eel’s distinctive flavor feels a little daunting, I think starting with the seasoned grilled eel would be a good idea. Its sweet, savory sauce gently wraps around the eel’s flavor, so it feels much more approachable.!

## A Refreshing Finish with Yeolmu Mani Guksu

So refreshing~~~ We finished with yeolmu mani naengmyeon (cold noodles with plenty of young radish greens)! The yeolmu was perfectly fermented and nice and tangy~~~ That lightly icy broth, seriously~~ ahh~~~ it makes my mouth waterㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Eel needs a palate cleanser, so yeolmu cold noodles too~~~ It was the perfect nourishing meal!!!!!!!

- Salt-grilled eel = eel’s natural nuttiness and clean flavor
- Seasoned grilled eel = sweet-spicy umami and deep richness
- You have to try both to properly experience eel’s appeal!
