Gimpo brunch café with wood-fired prosciutto arugula pizza: The Nillai
In short
The Nillai (더 닐라이) is a large bakery and brunch café on Yangchonyeok-gil in Yangchon-eup, Gimpo, run by a chef who previously worked at the 63 Building. At The Nillai, the blogger had a prosciutto & arugula pizza (24,000 won), a salmon salad (15,000 won), an Americano (6,000 won) and a potato sausage salt bread (6,200 won), and the wood-fired dough was so crisp and nutty that they ate even the pizza edges they usually leave. With its resort-like space and media art room, The Nillai is worth recommending for dates and get-togethers.

What kind of café is The Nillai in Yangchon, Gimpo?
The Nillai is a large café in Yangchon, Gimpo, run by a chef who came from the 63 Building. It's also known for tasty brunch, bakery items and coffee. The food is great and the interior is lovely too, so I'd recommend it as one of the big cafes worth visiting in Gimpo.

Maybe it's the sunlight pouring in through the big windows, but the inside of The Nillai feels bright and pleasant. There are lots of plush sofa spots and plenty of seats with backs, so it looks like a comfortable place to spend some time.

The Nillai's layout: bread display, resort-style space and media art room
In the center of The Nillai, fresh bread baked every morning is on display,

and on the other side there's an exotic, resort-like space, so you can pick the mood you like at this big Gimpo café. I've been to a lot of cafés, but I think this is the first one I've seen with this kind of atmosphere.
And that's not all! There's also a spacious room where you can watch media art, so the space is put together in a really varied way 🧡 It's a fun place to wander around.

What brunch and bakery items does The Nillai have?
As you'd expect from a café run by a chef from the 63 Building, The Nillai serves a variety of pizzas, risottos, pastas and salads. Besides the quality meals, there are also brunch sets, so you can enjoy it at a good value too :)

The bakery items, made fresh every morning, come in plenty of varieties too. The Nillai is a large bakery café where you can enjoy bakes along with brunch. There's a range including soboro chestnut bread (streusel-topped loaf), salt bread, croissants and sangtu gwaja (topknot-shaped cookies). You could have bread and coffee after a meal or finish with a sweet dessert. The wide choice, so you can enjoy it your own way, is another plus of The Nillai.

- Americano ₩6,000
- Salmon salad ₩15,000
- Prosciutto & arugula pizza ₩24,000

How was the prosciutto & arugula pizza?
The Nillai's prosciutto & arugula pizza (₩24,000) has a wood-fired crust that lets you enjoy the distinctive flavor of prosciutto.

Generous amounts of salty prosciutto and fresh arugula sit on a crisp, nutty crust, making this a premium pizza with a different kind of flavor.

I love arugula too, and it was piled on!!

Every bite fills your mouth with rich cheese and the salty flavor of prosciutto~ And I'm usually someone who leaves the edge when I eat pizza, but the edge was so good that I ate it all the way to the end without leaving any!
The point is that the wood-fired dough is baked really crisp and nutty, so even the edge is delicious!!

Taking a sip of Americano in between feels so fresh and nice haha

Salmon salad and potato sausage salt bread
The Nillai's salmon salad (₩15,000) is topped with plenty of smoked salmon, and it's crunchy and fresh, seriously so good!! I think it's a great side dish.

I also had the potato sausage salt bread (₩6,200) as dessert, and the quality was good 😆 It's packed with filling, and the salt bread is crisp outside and moist inside!!
The Nillai Americano crema and Gwakcheori goods
Just look at the crema on The Nillai's Americano (₩6,000)~ I absolutely love that crema, and maybe because they use good beans, the Americano was well balanced too, so I enjoyed it to the last sip.

The cute The Nillai x Gwakcheori goods were fun to look at too!
Who would I recommend The Nillai to?
When you want a relaxed, resort-like mood and a feel of natural scenery, I recommend The Nillai, the big Gimpo café famous for brunch! It's perfect for a date or a get-together!!
