Adam (아담), a Western restaurant on Jeonju's Gaekridan-gil!! It will be closed for the Chuseok holiday from September 24 to 25. Reservations, easy payment, and group visits are available, and corkage is free. There is no parking, so you will need to use a nearby public paid parking lot! We stopped by Daiso nearby and ended up parking a bit far away and walking over! It looked atmospheric right from the outside, didn't it?! I liked it before we even went in haha. The two-person tables were the first thing we saw upon entering. I wondered if those were all the tables, but there were more farther inside!! Because the whole place was dim, it had a calm mood. The soft lighting also made it feel cozy and warm... It felt like we had come to an upscale restaurant worthy of a great Jeonju steak spot!! I guess ordering through a Toss QR code is the trend these days, right?! It felt unfamiliar, but we scanned the QR code and ordered. We came because my son wanted steak, so we planned to order the striploin steak... but it was sold out on the day we visited..🥲 So we ordered the Korean pork belly steak instead!! We also ordered cacciucco earthenware-pot pasta, truffle sujebi, and grilled napa cabbage~! After ordering, the first thing that came out was a pre-meal snack—pretzels, I think? haha. We had walked a ton around Hanok Village before coming to Adam, so I guess the kids were hungry!! It seems they provide salad as a basic accompaniment too~!!! Since there were four of us, they even gave us two plates of salad?! Most restaurants give only one plate per table... so I was a little surprised to get two plates.. haha. They gave us salad, so I tried it... and since it did not have any vegetables I dislike, I enjoyed it 😆 The vegetables were fresh and the dressing was delicious too~!! It was nice to whet our appetites with salad before the food arrived, wasn't it?! Even my daughter, who dislikes vegetables, tried it once and ate it well, saying it was tasty—perhaps because the dressing was a little sweet haha. I thought we would not finish both plates, but we cleared them in no time!! 👍 I had only tried the salad, but.... it already felt like a great restaurant on Jeonju's Gaekridan-gil?! There was more than I expected—wouldn't this alone fill you up?! haha. When I tried it on its own, I could really taste the cabbage's natural sweetness 😋 The sauce was a little salty and nutty, and it went very well with the cabbage haha. By the way, perhaps because Adam on Jeonju's Gaekridan-gil has such good lighting, the food photographs well!! We ordered it because it was described as spicy... but I did not know what cacciucco was, so I looked at the description again and found it was an Italian seafood stew haha. What is this?!! Why is it spicy and refreshing, with a flavor that is a little like jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) and a little like tomato soup?!?! It is an appealing flavor, an unusual combination worthy of a Jeonju fusion Western restaurant!! My husband and son said it was a flavor they had never tried before, but they loved it and ate so well!! I liked it too, so I think I kept spooning up the broth while eating the other dishes haha. The cacciucco earthenware-pot pasta was full of noodles, and there was more seafood than I expected—clams, squid, shrimp, and more!! I did not expect much because it was sujebi, but it looked luxurious right from the start~! As soon as it arrived, a gentle truffle aroma spread through the air, making my mouth water before I even tasted it~🤤 I took a bite, and the dough was chewy while the thick, rich sauce was so flavorful—it was truly delicious! My husband does not usually like rich food, so I thought he would not enjoy it, but what a surprise~?! He said it was thick but not cloying and ate it well haha. YBD pork belly steak!! I did not expect much from a pork belly steak, but what is this quality~?! Alongside the steak came baek-kimchi (mild white kimchi)? Napa cabbage pickles? Anyway, some side dish to eat with it!! How could it be so tender and juicy 😋 The more I chewed, the more nutty flavor came through. I dipped it in the sauce, which had a mild, creamy flavor rather than being overpowering, and it paired beautifully with the steak! I also tried the potatoes served on the side, and they were delicious! I tasted the sauce beneath them, and it seemed to have a hint of curry—very appealing!! My curry-loving daughter coated hers generously in the sauce haha. If you come to Adam in Jeonju, definitely order the Korean pork belly steak~!! If you are looking for Adam, a Western restaurant near Jeonju Gaeksa, or a Jeonju steak restaurant, I think it is worth visiting at least once!!
