Lately I've had a sore back, and maybe that's why I've been craving something hot and filling. While I was wondering what to eat for dinner tonight, my younger brother suggested pho, so I tagged along!

This time we went to Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch, a well-known pho restaurant near Dongtan Station. I ate so well I felt fully restored~

With bar seating, I saw quite a few people dining alone, and it seemed like a solid pick for anyone looking for a solo dining spot near Dongtan Station.

We arrived around 6pm on a Monday and just barely managed to grab seats right away.

But once dinnertime hit, the place filled up fast and a wait started forming ㅠㅠ If you want a quieter meal, it might be worth coming a bit earlier.

## What we ordered: brisket-tendon pho, 13,000 won

We ordered two brisket-tendon pho bowls and one shrimp potato roll. The brisket-tendon pho came piled high with chadolbagi (thinly sliced beef brisket), brisket meat, and tendon — it looked really filling just from the sight of it.

The chadolbagi was soft and savory, the brisket had a nice clean flavor, and the tendon was chewy, giving the bowl a range of textures.

But the tendon here is the real deal... all the meat is soft and fresh and delicious. They really didn't hold back on the meat!

### How was the broth, the part that matters more than the meat?

When I eat pho, the thing I care about more than the meat is honestly the broth. These days some pho places have decent meat but a disappointing broth, but at Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch, I really liked the broth.

The distinctive Vietnamese pho aroma wasn't overpowering — it had a savory, deep flavor that I think would suit Korean palates well too.

There was plenty of meat too, so by the time I finished the broth, I genuinely felt like I'd eaten a proper restorative meal, haha.

I heard Mibundang is known for the combo of hoisin sauce, onions, and spicy sauce, so I had fun mixing my own sauce combination with the spicy sauce and hoisin.

They said they'd add extra noodles and bean sprouts for free, but my brother and I were already full enough without adding more!

The outside was crispy while the inside held a plump shrimp, making each bite moist and tender.

Eating one between bites of pho was a nice little treat, and honestly, since we came for the pho, I didn't expect much from the side dish, but...

I went in craving hot soup, and with the rich broth and generous meat, I left far more satisfied than I expected.

Since it's bar-table seating, the restaurant tends to stay quiet, and it's not awkward to visit alone, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a solo dining spot near Dongtan Station.

Next time I visit, I think I'll order the exact same thing again — brisket-tendon pho with a side of shrimp potato rolls, haha.
