I also got a root perm done. This was my first time and I was so curious about it. Apparently the higher the step, the more damaged your hair needs to be for that level. This was my first time, and apparently it's to maximize moisture supply and nutrient penetration into the hair! I was curious since it seemed like it would leave hair really moist and soft. The whole thing took about 2 hours total. ### Styling tips from the Momentium stylist She said applying a heat protectant and heat protection essence before blow-drying or using a flat iron reduces heat damage significantly!
