It honestly felt like walking into an atmospheric live-music café. The sign visible from outside made it clear at a glance that this is a jjukkumi specialty restaurant. I thought ₩10,000 per serving for takeout was a really good price. They've also set up a garden out front, and as you can see in the photo, at night it's arranged so beautifully that it's great for photos, haha. The lights overhead really set the mood, and if you're passing by and spot it, you'll want to step in just to take a picture, haha. The interior lighting and atmosphere felt totally different from a typical jjukkumi restaurant. The little decorative touches scattered around add some small everyday fun. Mixing the provided sotbap (stone-pot rice) together with the jjukkumi and pollack roe is absolutely incredible. The seaweed soup had clams in it, giving it a clean, refreshing taste. Then mix it well together with the pollack roe, haha. As you can see, the jjukkumi is plump and springy, and there's a generous amount too. The sauce wasn't overly spicy, but had a nice sweetness along with a good smoky char. Mixing it with rice, bean sprouts, and pollack roe is just perfect. After finishing the rice, pouring water into the stone pot to make sotbap scorched rice really warmed my stomach up. Even if you're already full, you should really make a bowl of scorched rice by adding water to the pot — that toasty flavor is unforgettable. ## Is Jigueseo On Jjukkumi in Hanam worth a late dinner? I found a great jjukkumi restaurant today. The value for money is excellent, and at this quality and this price, it's a place I could enjoy anytime without any hesitation. Pouring on the perilla oil gives off a great aroma, the smoky char really comes through, and mixing it with pollack roe made for an especially unique concept. The outdoor garden atmosphere is lovely too — perfect if you want to soak in the mood of a deepening autumn night.
