I'd heard about a Hongdae dessert café serving soufflés piled high with fruit, so curiosity got the better of me and I went to check it out.

Located in Hongdae, Think Fruit had a clean, stylish vibe right from the exterior. The facade stood out for its large floor-to-ceiling window, giving off a simple yet sophisticated feel. Out front stood a signboard showing fig soufflé and peach soufflé, so it was fun just browsing what to order. When I visited, they had soufflé pancakes made with peach and fig, which felt like an especially nice lineup for someone like me who loves seasonal fruit.

The interior was just as clean and trendy. Sunlight poured in through the big glass windows, keeping the whole space bright, and the window seats looked like a great spot to relax with dessert and drinks while watching the Hongdae alleys outside. The round lighting fixtures and mirrors scattered around blended in nicely too, making it a pretty Hongdae dessert café for photos — perfect for spending a relaxed time with my husband, like a little date.

What I ordered was the peach soufflé pancake. A whole, juicy peach came paired with Häagen-Dazs ice cream and soft cream, plus a fluffy soufflé that looked delicious just to look at. Taking a bite, the two kinds of peach were sweet yet refreshing, delivering a juicy peach flavor throughout, and the soft soufflé with ice cream and cream made for a sweet-yet-light combination that worked really well together. Especially since the peach was piled on generously, it was extra satisfying for a fruit lover like me — a dessert where you could really taste the seasonal fruit. 🍑

The Häagen-Dazs choco-coffee slush caught my eye right away with its visual — loaded with chocolate. I usually find drinks with a heavy, straight chocolate flavor a bit much, but this one blended sweet chocolate with coffee aroma, so it turned out much tastier than I expected. Paired with the Häagen-Dazs ice cream it was sweet and creamy, and the subtle coffee aroma that followed reined in the sweetness so I never got tired of it. Since this place is famous for its soufflés, I only expected the dessert to be good, but tasting the drink made me realize they put real care into the beverage menu too — genuinely satisfying.

The salted cream milk tea won me over starting with the sweet, soft cream on top. I generally love the subtle floral scent you get in a good milk tea, and one sip confirmed the milk tea's fragrant floral notes came through clearly, really matching my taste. Layered with the sweet salted cream, the soft sweetness and fragrant milk tea worked beautifully together, and it never felt too heavy or cloying, so I could drink it all the way through happily. Every drink was satisfying, not just the soufflés — and among them, the salted cream milk tea stood out especially for the harmony of its subtle floral notes and sweet salted cream.
