My friends and I were planning to go to Oido for grilled shellfish, but with four of us the bill was going to add up fast. So I started looking for all-you-can-eat grilled shellfish places instead, and that's how I found Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish Siheung Baegot Branch.

This place doesn't just do shellfish — meat is unlimited too, which was perfect for us since we love both. So we decided on this spot, reserved a table for four, and headed over. Here's my review of this place near Baegot Sincia that I found for unlimited grilled shellfish.

The building has solid basement parking, so it was easy to visit by car. Outside the restaurant, that day's shellfish lineup was posted, so we could check what was in stock before even walking in.

Once inside, there were already plenty of diners. I saw tables of friends and families alike, which made it feel like a good spot for groups.

You grab a plate and pick whatever shellfish you want straight from the tank. Everything inside was still alive. That day's lineup included bay scallop, sword razor clam, abalone, pink scallop, Manila clam, white hard clam, horn snail, Japanese carpet shell, surf clam, and mactra clam.

Usually when I go for grilled shellfish I stick to my favorites, but since this was all-you-can-eat, I could try shellfish I'd never had before without worrying about the cost. Since everything comes straight from the tank, I trusted the freshness.

## Pork belly and beef are unlimited too

The meat selection was more varied than I expected. Beef short plate, pork belly, pork neck, and pork skirt were all available, so you just pick whatever you want to eat alongside the shellfish. Personally, pork belly was my favorite. After eating shellfish for a while, grilling up some pork belly and eating it with kimchi felt like a whole different meal — in a good way.

My friends agreed that adding meat to the shellfish made the meal feel way more filling than shellfish alone. All-you-can-eat places can feel limited when the options are too simple, but here, having both shellfish and meat gave us plenty of choice.

Besides shellfish and meat, there was a lot more to eat. Various kimchi, cheese rice cakes, sweet potato rice cakes, dumplings, corn, cheese, corn dogs, tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties), kimchi pancake, and fruit like pineapple were all available. So there was plenty for kids to enjoy too, not just adults. We made corn cheese to go along with our shellfish and meat.

## How to grill the shellfish at your table

The restaurant had instructions posted on how to grill the shellfish. Place them on the grill, and once they open up, remove the shell and keep grilling a bit longer until the meat is fully cooked. Since the tank is filled with seawater, the shellfish can be a bit salty — when they open, you can snip the water they're holding with scissors and drain it out for a less salty, tastier bite.

We loaded up on shellfish, meat, and corn cheese and got down to grilling. One side of the grill was for shellfish, the other for meat, so we could cook both at the same time.

Once the shellfish opens up, you remove the shell and keep grilling until the meat is done — and luckily, one of my friends was basically a pro at grilling shellfish, so the whole meal went smoothly.

While my friend grilled away, I kept running back and forth bringing more shellfish.

We dipped the well-cooked shellfish in chojang (vinegar chili sauce) and topped some with corn cheese. The scallops and sword razor clams in particular had plump, satisfying meat, and with so many types of shellfish, it was fun to try one after another.

From beef short plate to pork belly, pork neck and pork skirt, we could grill whatever we felt like. Pork belly was especially delicious for me. Eating golden, crispy pork belly with kimchi kept the momentum going even after switching from shellfish. Alternating between shellfish and meat made the meal feel really hearty for the four of us.

## Finishing with ramyeon, billed separately

And to finish things off, we of course ordered ramyeon (Korean instant noodles). It's ₩3,000 each, and drinks are charged separately too. If you order ramyeon, instant rice, or canned or bottled drinks, you put them in the green basket on the table and settle up together at the end.

I don't know why the last bowl of ramyeon always tastes this good. After eating our fill of shellfish and meat, finishing with a hot bowl of ramyeon was exactly right.

I found this place while looking for somewhere to eat grilled shellfish with my four friends, and it was great — a wide variety of shellfish plus unlimited meat meant we got to eat so many different things together.
