There are so many handmade burger places these days, and Jeongja-dong in Bundang has been full of reviews raving about a new spot that swaps beef patties for shrimp and a white sauce combo. So I went to check out Roaster Burger, the newcomer on this café street packed with good food. That day, the plump shrimp and standout sauce really caught my eye — here's the record of it.

It's located next to Gontran Cherrier and Mon Chouchou — this stretch is where a bunch of tasty chains cluster together. That's exactly why Roaster Burger, carving out its own flavor among the chains, feels special.

From the basic classic burger at ₩7,900 to the ridiculously visual monster burger, there are 11 varieties — and the count grows once you start picking options. That's the charm of a handmade burger place: you can mix and match however you like. The pizza, made with a premium vegan dough aged 72 hours, has me curious too.

I ordered the white whole shrimp burger, which had lots of reviews and isn't something you'd find at your typical chain burger place near Jeongja Station, with added avocado. I was curious about the patty too, but figured ordering another burger would be too much, so I went with the fries-topped-with-patty as my side instead!

I ordered it out of curiosity about the patty, and it exceeded expectations. The fries, sauce, and bacon are all piled together — try eating it all in one bite. My hand kept going back for more.

## The main event: white whole shrimp burger

Passed the looks test right away! You can see the shrimp practically about to pop out from between the buns, so it lives up to its name. Plump whole shrimp sit alongside crunchy shrimp rings, and the vegetables and tomato inside were fresh. Thanks to the added avocado, it got a more luxurious, creamy edge — glad I added it.

It's tall enough that it's hard to eat in one bite, but I gripped it firmly with both hands and managed to eat it neatly without falling apart. The texture was springy and satisfying, and with crispy fried bits and soft avocado both in the mix, the variety of textures made it fun to eat. I really got to enjoy that thick, hearty quality that's unique to handmade burgers.

Even though I visited after the lunch peak, quite a few people were coming in for solo meals, and delivery orders kept coming steadily — clearly a popular spot.

## Final thoughts

Prepping fresh ingredients every morning and making everything to order seems to make a real difference. With burgers, pizza, and a variety of sides, this place looks like it'd be fun to explore on every visit. If it's your first time, I'd recommend the white whole shrimp burger I tried.
