Shrimp is in season right now, isn't it!! 🦐🦐🦐 I was craving raw shrimp sashimi and grilled shrimp, so I searched around and Susanjang Dongtan Branch came right up. We got there around 9pm on a Sunday and there was already a wait. It just opened but it seems to have already become a famous spot at Dongtan's north plaza. There were plenty of options, from bar tables for solo drinking to 4-tops and group seating, and there was also seating toward the back that I couldn't photograph because it was so crowded. There were quite a few people drinking alone too. There were far more menu items than what I'd seen on the Naver Place listing. We'd come specifically for the raw shrimp salt-grilled dish, but it was already sold out... Besides the salt-grilled option, there were plenty of other tasty dishes, so we ordered those instead. Even the free side dishes here felt genuinely generous. ### Raw shrimp sashimi The raw shrimp sashimi came out first. The shrimp were so fresh they were practically still alive. It's grilled scallop, well-cooked beef brisket, mushrooms, and crunchy mustard-leaf kimchi all together. The scallop meat was finely diced and there were plump shrimp mixed in too. The moment it arrived, the butter aroma was insane... crispy and nutty, and I really think paying the extra ₩3,000 for this is a no-brainer. That wraps up my review of Susanjang Dongtan Branch, a great spot at Dongtan's north plaza!
