Doraji (bellflower root) namul, vegetable salad, fried eggplant, cockle salad and more — the quality of the basic banchan here is no joke~~ And they're refillable too. The softly cooked seaweed and sea urchin roe went really well together, and the roe's mild, savory ocean fragrance made it even tastier. The roe melted softly in the mouth, adding umami to the broth, and it wasn't heavy or overpowering, so it went well with warm rice too. The scallop meat was tender and chewy, so eating it with the seaweed gave a nice texture along with great umami. The one abalone I got through the pregnancy event was in there too, making it even more filling. This seems like a place elderly parents would love too, so next time for Parents' Day or a birthday I'd bring mine along.
