## What time should you arrive at Hôtel de Couture on a weekend?

Hôtel de Couture is a brunch and pasta restaurant on Donggyo-ro 46-gil in Yeonnam-dong. Having heard that weekend lunch waits are long, we arrived around 11:05am for something close to an "open-run." Even so, by the time we walked in, the tables were already almost full — this place is seriously popular.

If we'd been even a little later, we definitely would have ended up waiting. If you want a successful "Yeonnam-dong hotspot date," I'd really recommend hurrying over on weekends. I found this place while looking for a nice-atmosphere restaurant, and it turned out to already be a very famous hotspot.

Hôtel de Couture sits in a red brick building that grabs your eye from the outside. The vintage, atmospheric sign and the plants dressing up the windows make it feel like a relaxed restaurant tucked into some European alley. From the entrance alone, it's a spot you can't help but photograph.

### Inside Hôtel de Couture: chandeliers, postcards and many overseas guests

The interior lived up to expectations too. Warm, soft chandelier lighting decorates the ceiling, and stylish, cute postcards cover the walls, filling the space with Instagram-worthy charm. Even the little touches — flowers casually placed on chairs, baskets and small props — showed how much care the owner put into the interior.

Notably, there were a lot of foreign guests inside. Everyone seems to know that good-looking food tastes good too, and it was striking how busy people were photographing the pretty space and the food about to arrive. It really felt like a place that had gone globally viral.

### Three dishes for 48,000 won, with the French toast saved for last

The three dishes we carefully chose were French toast, honey bacon rosé pasta, and egg in hell. The total came to ₩48,000, which felt like reasonable value for the quality given today's prices.

We especially wanted the French toast to feel like dessert after finishing our meal, so we asked in advance for it to be brought out slowly, at the very end. I really appreciated that they honored such a specific request.

The first dish to arrive was Hôtel de Couture's honey bacon rosé pasta. The moment it appeared, a delicious smell hit us. Thick, rich rosé sauce coated the noodles completely, topped generously with thick, salty, well-grilled cuts of bacon. You could tell at a glance why this place is famous as a "Yeonnam-dong pasta spot."

Twirled onto a fork, the sauce clung perfectly to the noodles, and every bite drew a little gasp of appreciation. Served on a small plate, it felt like a fancy meal at an upscale restaurant. If you're looking for a Western restaurant near Hongik University Station, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this dish.

Egg in hell comes with warm, crispy toasted bread. Piling the tomato sauce, cheese, and egg onto the bread and taking a big bite left me fully satisfied, with amazing flavor. It paired wonderfully with the pasta too.

Paired with cold vanilla ice cream and crunchy, nutty oatmeal, the combination of nutty and sweet filled every bite. Getting a full meal and a perfect dessert moment in one sitting made for a truly happy time.

From the exterior to the interior, nothing was missing in terms of atmosphere, and Hôtel de Couture delivers great taste at a fair price too. It's easy to understand why people diligently show up early in the morning, and why this place is such a hotspot.
