Among Korea’s second-generation new towns, Gwanggyo is especially tidy and well organized throughout, so it always puts me in a good mood when I visit. Even compared with Ilsan, a first-generation new town, its pleasant atmosphere and neatly maintained roads feel far superior. On top of that, there are plentiful jobs nearby, which makes it feel like an even more energetic city. One of Base Burger’s biggest strengths is that it provides unlimited crispy potato chips for free. I wanted to bring back a big pile, but out of conscience—and because I was worried about gaining weight—I restrained myself and ate only five.
