## Why Cheongnyuok for a family meal on Bandalseom in Ansan?

Cheongnyuok is a pork ribs and pork belly restaurant on Bandalseom Island in Ansan. Parking is easy and they have galbitang for the kids, so we picked it as a family outing spot that could work for both my parents and my child.

When you're eating out as a family, it's hard to choose a place based on taste alone. You need a menu the kids can eat, something that suits your parents' palate, and easy parking since you're moving as a group. Cheongnyuok, which I visited with my family this time, checked all these boxes, so I want to recommend it to anyone looking for a restaurant on Bandalseom Island.

My child ate the galbitang really well, and my parents, who are pretty picky eaters, said the pork ribs were delicious and enjoyed them a lot — which made it feel like a great choice for a family meal.

### Parking and cleanliness at Cheongnyuok

The parking was so convenient, and that was a big plus! When you're going with a big family group that includes parents and kids, or for a work dinner, parking at the restaurant matters a lot. Cheongnyuok made it easy to visit by car. Since it's a new building, the space itself felt neat and clean, and even the restroom — which always makes me a bit anxious at restaurants — was spotless. When you're going with a child or with your parents, these are the details you start to notice, and overall it was pleasant enough to have a comfortable meal.

> Galbitang my kid devoured

## Cheongnyuok galbitang: tender enough for a child

If you're visiting this Bandalseom favorite with your child, I'd also recommend the galbitang (short rib soup).

My child doesn't do well with chewy meat — even a little toughness and they'll refuse to eat it. But the meat in Cheongnyuok's galbitang was really tender and soft. My kid kept saying the meat was so soft and delicious, and ate it all up. The rice was great too — it had a nice chewiness and tasted good on its own, so mixed into the warm galbitang broth, it was a perfect match. If you're looking for a meat restaurant on Bandalseom Island to visit with kids, ordering meat for the adults and galbitang for the kids seems like a solid combo.

> Marinated pork ribs that passed my parents' taste test

## Marinated pork ribs that suited the grandparents

What I enjoyed most was the pork ribs. Marinated pork ribs can taste great at first but get overly sweet and cloying after a few bites.

Cheongnyuok's pork ribs weren't overly sweet and had a nice savory depth, so they were easy to keep eating. Best of all, my parents, who are pretty picky about food, said it was delicious and really enjoyed it. It's not easy to satisfy both a kid's palate and your parents' at the same time, but this time both my child and my parents ate happily, and I felt like I'd really nailed the menu choice. So I'd especially recommend this to anyone looking for a place on Bandalseom Island to bring their parents for a family meal.

> Side dishes that were delicious too — green onion kimchi and seasoned crab

## Green onion kimchi, seasoned raw crab and cheongyang chili slices

It's not just the meat that's good — the basic side dishes were great too. Personally, the green onion kimchi and seasoned crab were really delicious. A bite of pork ribs paired with green onion kimchi worked so well, and the seasoned crab kept drawing my chopsticks back whenever I ate it with rice. There's one combo I personally have to recommend — cheongyang chili slices! Try putting a few slices of cheongyang chili on top of well-grilled pork ribs and eating them together.

The spicy kick of the cheongyang chili on top of the marinated pork ribs cut through the richness perfectly — it was truly a special treat. I honestly preferred it with this combo over eating it plain.

> Looking for a family meal spot on Bandalseom Island?

## Which gatherings does Cheongnyuok suit best?

Having visited in person, Cheongnyuok turned out to be a great meat restaurant on Bandalseom Island to visit with family. Parking is easy, the dining area and restrooms are clean, and even my child, who struggles with chewy meat, happily ate the tender galbitang. My parents especially liked that the pork rib marinade wasn't too sweet.

Add in the chewy, tasty rice and side dishes like green onion kimchi and seasoned crab, and it was an overall satisfying meal. If you're looking for a spot for a family gathering, weekend meal, or even a work dinner on Bandalseom Island with kids and parents alike, Cheongnyuok is worth a visit. If you care about parking and cleanliness as much as taste, you'll likely enjoy your meal even more.
