## In short

Bakerist Brown is a large bakery café in Gangnam, Seoul that fills the basement through the 3rd floor, a 5-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6. On a solo visit at 11am on a weekend, the writer compared the atmosphere floor by floor, checked the outlets and wifi on the 3rd floor, and ordered a black sesame latte (7,800 won) and an apple crumble pie (5,800 won). Bakerist Brown is not the ideal laptop spot, but not one bread or dessert on the menu was a miss.

After running errands near Gangnam Station, I went looking for coffee and bread for lunch and finally made it to Bakerist Brown, a place I'd wanted to visit for ages. From sandwiches to the trendy wakppu salt bread, madeleines, cakes, pastries and even loaf bread — go late and half of it's sold out, so let me show you this Gangnam Station bakery spot.

## Where is Bakerist Brown and what are its hours?

This big bakery café near Gangnam Station is at 21 Gangnam-daero 102-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, open daily 11:00 - 22:30. Takeout and group visits are fine, but there's no parking.

> The exterior of Bakerist Brown, a Gangnam bakery café

It's a 5-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6, about 8 minutes from Gangnam Station. Walk up the alley to the left of the CGV building and you'll see it on your left.

Look for the red brick building and you've arrived at this salt-bread favorite near Gangnam Station. It technically has a terrace, but maybe because of the weather, those seats are always empty while the inside is packed.

## Basement 1 to the 3rd floor: what each floor feels like

> Interior and floor-by-floor vibe

This bakery near Sinnonhyeon Station spans basement to 3rd floor, and it's sizable. I came around 11am on a weekend, so it was fairly relaxed, though most people headed straight to the 2nd floor first. Overall it's on the quiet side, so it's good for reading or solo work.

Every seating area has a different concept — sofa seats, table seats. This floor fills up fastest, and by the afternoon it gets even busier with friends and families, making it the liveliest spot. Great for a relaxed chat.

### Are there outlets and wifi on the 3rd floor?

The 3rd floor of Bakerist Brown was the quietest and calmest. Maybe that's why a few parent-aged guests came up saying this floor was just right — quiet and nice. I'd read reviews looking for outlet-friendly cafés near Gangnam Station, but there weren't as many outlets on the 3rd floor as I expected — just one group table and the seat by the stairs. Not exactly optimized for laptop work.

Note the restroom floor too. The wifi password isn't printed on the receipt, so you'll need to snap a photo of it on the 1st floor. Also, wifi doesn't reach the 3rd floor very well.

Next to the entrance they sell Bakerist Brown merch — mugs, t-shirts — and I browsed for a bit. So cute I wanted everything.. 🤎

## Bakerist Brown menu board and drink options

The lineup covers coffee, ades, tea, and lattes, and the coffee can be switched to decaf, extra shot, or oat milk. Write a receipt review and get a free sand cookie (while supplies last) — it's genuinely delicious, so don't skip it.

Croissants, mille-feuille, dirty choco pain, pepperoni queen amann, apple crumble pie, sweet pumpkin pie — a paradise for bread lovers who wander in for a sugar recharge.

Banana pudding, corn cheesecake, crumble, pavlova, Gangnam Sand — the desserts inside the showcase are so visually striking I spent ages just looking. Honestly, there's not a single item worth skipping..

## What I ordered: black sesame latte and apple crumble pie

> Today's order

![Table set with black sesame latte and dessert](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-solo-morning-cafe/bakerst-brown-gangnam-solo-morning-cafe-22-djs2o-966.webp)

Came here to enjoy a solo café session at this bakery near Gangnam Station and picked out these items! I was hungry and needed sugar, so I went for a sweet combo.

The black sesame latte (₩7,800) had a thick layer of cream just from looking at the separated layers! I drank it without stirring, and that first sip brought a rush of sweetness and nuttiness into my mouth.. 🖤 The coffee flavor just passes through in the background.

Everyone, you have to get the apple crumble pie (₩5,800). Honestly I expected a crunchier crumble texture on top, but the unexpectedly good pastry base stole the show. This really is a pastry spot worth its reputation near Gangnam Station. Flaky, soft, and the definition of crisp-outside-soft-inside. I took one bite and couldn't stop until it was all gone.

I'd bought it to take home, but seeing how good it looked, holding back felt like a crime, so I ate one there. The orange one is sweet pumpkin, and it tastes like yellow cheese. Sweet and nutty, delicious enough to make a great dessert gift from Gangnam Station too. The sand cookie isn't crunchy — more like 70% soft, 30% firm, not quite fudgy but close.

## Is Bakerist Brown worth a solo visit?

This Gangnam Station café is great for reading or solo work, and just as nice as a date or hangout spot for chatting with friends or a partner. Above all, this is a bakery café worth its reputation in Gangnam..! Whatever dessert you pick, you'll likely be happy with it.
