While looking for lunch in Pangyo, we ended up at Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch. It turned out to be exactly the spot for us since we love tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet). This time we ordered the set for two, which let us try several menu items at once.

It's a good option for Pangyo office workers' lunch, but also for dates or family meals, so let me introduce it.

Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch is a Japanese-style handmade tonkatsu restaurant that uses a patented yuzu low-temperature aging method.

The store was clean and the tables were spaced comfortably, so it was pleasant to eat there. Tonkatsu is great as a solo meal too, but ordering a full set like this meant we could taste a bit of everything, which felt more satisfying visiting as two.

Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch overall has a clean, tidy atmosphere as a Japanese tonkatsu specialty restaurant. The tables were spaced generously, so we could eat comfortably without feeling cramped, and it seemed like an easy place to visit for solo dining, office lunches, dates, or family meals out.

It's also close to Pangyo Station, so accessibility is decent, and it was a good place to have a filling meal in a clean setting — a solid pick when searching for good Pangyo lunch spots.

## The generous set for two

What we ordered was the set for two, 35,000 won.

Since we were with a child, even ordering the set gave us a large, delicious amount of food. Along with the standard loin katsu and fillet katsu, it came with mini soba, mini curry, and mini udon, so we didn't have to feel the pity of picking just one menu item.

With the table filled up, the portion turned out more generous than expected. Instead of just tonkatsu with rice, we got to enjoy noodles and curry alongside it, making for a nice variety of flavors.

### How the loin katsu and fillet katsu tasted

I liked that the tonkatsu's outer coating was crispy but not too thick. The loin katsu had a savory meaty flavor and juicy texture, while the fillet katsu was relatively light and had a pleasantly soft texture.

It was tasty dipped straight into the sauce, and eating it with the cabbage that came alongside helped clear the palate in between bites.

Personally, I was also pleased that even after eating several pieces, it didn't feel overly greasy.

### Mini udon, soba, and curry too

The warm udon (wheat noodle soup) was great to pair with the tonkatsu whenever we wanted some broth. The soba (buckwheat noodles) was refreshingly clean, and having curry to go with rice felt like eating a whole other dish!

Ordering different menus each when visiting as two is also nice, but if you want to taste a bit of several dishes, the set for two seems like a pretty good choice.
